It seems Labour won't be getting the constituency boundary changes they were hoping for either.
I have just seen the recommendations and only a bit of Bayswater will be added to the existing seat....not the safe Labour territory of N Paddington and Westbourne they hoped would make Kensington a Labour seat.
Yours truthfully

Terrible decision by the boundary commission. I was looking forward to welcoming the large swathes of ethnic folk and the down and out residents of Maida Hill into our constituency. A truly mixed constituency. Absolutely gutted.
ReplyDeletePoor Bayswater. They end up being lumbered with charisma-free Flicka on one side and the Kensington Labour freak show on the other
ReplyDeleteNow that Dent Coad has been judiciously shafted by her Party, the local Labour Party should focus on fielding decent, inclusive, candidate to fight Buchan at the next election. The constituency does not need the colourless Flicka either. Nor does it need ultra left wing racists, antisemites or homophobes.
ReplyDeleteKensington Labour could learn a lot from Westminster Labour
ReplyDeleteLike how to win more than a wooden spoon in the local elections
DeleteAs has been pointed out frequently , winning elections ( or even Council seats ) is not a priority for Dent Coad's local party .
DeleteIt is more important for EDC's Labour shower to be in tune with Corbyn's values than it is to win an election.
