If K&C are going to follow the example of Westminster and ask residents to make 'voluntary' contributions LINK then they need to set an example by doing the following....

  • Reduce all councillors allowances by 10%
  • Reduce all senior officers salaries by 10%
This would not hurt the likes of the Pascal family who currently garner around £65,000 a year in allowances.

Primary schools are suffering as a result of government cutbacks so one might think that certain head teachers named and shamed here might feel that they are troughing at the expense of those schools... presuming they have shame, of course!

A chunk of FTSE CEO's just don't deserve their outrageous salaries but are now being joined by a clique of college principals including one from K&C who joins Holland Park Academy boss,£285k a year, Colin Hall and his 'friend' and deputy, David Chappell on the 'Rich List'.
Dave gets around £200,000 a year and three others over £100,000 each!
HPA has another three employees on more than £100,000, including Dave, the academy head and accounting officer, was paid between £180,000 and £185,000.

What with the outrageous amounts being paid to vice-chancellors at faux universities it looks as if primary schools are being starved in order pay greedy people like McMahon.

Elaine McMahon, who was interim principal at Kensington and Chelsea College, received over £20,000 per month. Had she stayed a year, her pay would have been £245,142 making her one of the country's highest paid principals in this period, despite being at a small college with an income of just £8.59 million in 2017-18.

Kensington and Chelsea College employed Ms McMahon as interim principal for a period of seven months from 24 July 2017 to 23 February 2018. According to the college’s financial statement, her total payments for the period were £143,000.

Decaux litter our beautiful streets with their ghastly, intrusive street tat.
Now, to add insult to injury, they have liveried up their Renault vans with our national flag.

Oh dear, The Dame thought her thoughts were only of interest to people of  The Quality. Some ghastly hack from some dreadful paper called the Sun has plagiarised her reader's letter. LABOUR PRINCE
Dear Dame,

Forgive me being 'off topic' but I know you and K&C readers love reading about political 'blue bloods'.

It's good to see us upper classes and aristocracy in the vanguard of Jeremy and John's Stalinist revolution.
Jeremy and brother Piers are solidly middle class and expert at ordering around the lower orders.
John McDonnell is a bit more common but still solidly middle class.
Both John and Jeremy have spent a lifetime avoiding any hard work.

Jeremy and John's key aide, Andrew Drummond-Murray of Mastrick is a most unusual trade unionist....

Public school drop out Andrew also dropped the Drummond-Murray and his close relationship to the aristocracy. SUPER POSH
His mother is half Spanish and goddaughter of the Infanta of Spain

Daddy, Peter Drummond-Murray of Mastrick, banker and stockbroker was Slains Pursuivant  from 1981 to 2009 and boasts of being a cousin to the Earl of Aberdeen.
Andrew's mum, Hon. Barbara Mary Hope is daughter of former Conservative MP Arthur Hope, 2nd Baron Rankeillour who was governor of the Madras Presidency of British India from 1940 to 1946.

Andrew, like Jeremy, dropped out of £35,000 a year Worth School with 4 O levels in woodwork and 'bunking orf.'

Andrew's great mate is another posho.

Seamus Milne is in charge of Jeremy's political education....a tough call as Jeremy doesn't 'do reading' being a bit thick and lazy.

Like his father, Alasdair, Seamus is Wykamist and Oxford.
His family's substantial fortune derives from Indian Empire trading days but best not to dig deeply there.....we might find out that they indulged in opium trading-a trade common to Aberdonian Scots.

Ever yours, Dear Dame,

The Dame is finding it very difficult to write unkind things about our Council and that is a good thing.

Times are definitely changing and there is no doubt the Council is striving to be more accountable to residents.

The new crop of councillors are certainly of a much higher quality.

One resident has written to the Dame about the hideous 'sculpture' erected by Decaux, the Paris based purveyors of street tat and designed by Zaha Hadid, the firm who like to take the coin of violent dictators.

The people of Paris would never put up with this so why should we?

Dear Dame

I hope you are well.   Would you like to run a story on the awful LED
advertising boards being installed around RBKC in recent years.

I am not sure if you have noticed the huge number of high resolution,
light polluting LED advertising boards which have sprung up all over
RBKC in recent years.
Absolutely shocked by Zaha Hadid's recent monstrous advertising installation in Cromwell Road - the size of it is mind blowing.

We do not need to be forced fed consumer advertising at every turn - there is only one Piccadilly Circus, and even that has been ruined by LED advertising.  Will RBKC be putting these advertising boards up in Eaton Square, Sloane Square, Cadogan Square, Beauchamp Place?
Usually on 24/7 - what is going on with RBKC and the planning inspectorate, why are they allowed to get away with this in the densely populated residential area which is RBKC.
These boards diminish the quality of life for local residents and the view of them harms our surroundings. Click HORROR

It's not histrionic to describe the majority of black cab drivers as killers......

There are 22,000 black cabs operating in London, plus a further 120,000 licenced taxis.

All are regulated by TfL and consequently 'Khan't get anything right'.
At any one time probably between 15-25% are stationary waiting for fares.
If you live near Harrods or the Carlton Tower you will see them stationary, engines running pumping out poison
If you asked them politely to switch off their engines you are met with a torrent of abuse.
Do they care that they are in breach of the Highway Code? Not a bit.
So the Dame wrote to the chair of the GLA Transport Committee, Caroline Pidgeon and another Committee Member, Shorn of Any Intelligence, Bailey.
Shaun being frightfully important did not deign to reply: Caroline replied immediately and constructively to the Dame's proposal that all licenced taxis be forced to retrofit Idling Engine Stops. These immediately cure the issue.

"Thank you for your email, Dame

I had done some work on idling and Mark in my office will send you the questions I have asked and also the motion I proposed.

We will ask TfL what they are doing in this specific area re taxis via casework

Thanks and best wishes

This was what Ofsted inspectors had to say about Health & Safety at Hill House School

“The health and safety of both pupils and adults in the main school are severely compromised. The health and safety policy is not being implemented across all sites. No one has overall responsibility for health and safety or has had suitable training,” the Ofsted inspectors noted, attaching a long list of concerns, including fire exits that “represent an ever-present danger to pupils and staff”.

It's clear that the inspectors have not viewed the dangerous double and triple parking of parents as they drop off and pick up their charges. One day a child will be seriously hurt or killed.

For years the Council has tried to persuade the headmaster, Richard Townend, that the school has a responsibility for the safety of the children whilst being deposited and collected:
like Cllr. Weale Mr.Townend hears but does not listen.
What an example to the children.

Compare Hill House with neighbouring Knightsbridge School in Pont St.

Every morning and evening the school stations 2/3 teachers to ensure parents don't behave in the blatantly irresponsible manner of Hill House parents.

At each end of the street these signs are placed.
In addition, staff police parents and their vehicles.

Proposed Chelsea Estates Conservation Area Designation and Conservation Area Appraisal Consultation

 This is very important....

Dear Stakeholder,

The Council is consulting on the proposals for a new conservation area. The area under consideration comprises the William Sutton and Samuel Lewis Estates. Both are planned social housing estates dating from the early 20th century. The consultation will run for a period of six weeks from 7 February 2019 to 21 March 2019.

The proposed boundary of the new conservation area and a draft Chelsea Estates Conservation Area Appraisal (setting out the historic and architectural interest of the area) is available to view and download on-line from

The main advantage of conservation area designation is that it provides a greater level of protection from inappropriate development. These additional protections effect the way owners can alter and develop their properties. These include; control over the demolition of unlisted buildings, the requirement for new development to preserve or enhance the character and appearance of the area, tighter controls on adverts, works to trees and the small scale changes to buildings.

The Council will consider all representations received before making a decision on whether or not to designate the proposed Chelsea Estates Conservation Area or adopt the draft conservation area appraisal.

Shaun Bailey wants to become Mayor of London to replace the equally hopeless and hapless Khan.
Not long ago, the Dame wrote to Bailey suggesting he ask Khan to forbid black cabs and licensed taxis from running their engines whilst queuing and waiting for fares: a fairly obvious way to cut pollution as taxi engines are massive polluters.

Bailey never bothered to reply...

This is a measure of this idiot's attitude to those paying him his £80,000 plus allowance.

But, for those wanting further proof of his doltish behaviour just click HER
So embarrassing!

The Conservative Party has truly lost its way if it thinks it can put this clown up to fight the Kensington seat.
