HOUSING MANAGER EXFORD HITS OUT AT THE POOR OLD DAME

A startled Dame received an irate telephone call from Keithy Boy Exford.

" You old bag. How dare you tell people I only get £260,000 a year. I get a helluva' lot more than that, you old crone. I could buy and sell you ten time over".

LOADSAMONEY

A much chastened Dame apologised and asked how much 'bunce' he actually got.

"I get £325,000  a year, or £1400 every day I get to the office and I got meself a top of the range Beamer too"

The Dame is happy to apologise....maybe he will take the old thing for a drive in the Beamer; whatever that might be....

  1. The rackets that go on in the rotten borough under the guise of social housing, are an utter disgrace.

In a rational world that constabulary would be taking a long close look into the Sutton Estate and similar scandals. Thousands of lower income residents have been evicted in recent years to make space for money laundering foreigners and those who cater for their needs.

  2. The old hag seems to have got under Exford's thin skin.

    Long live the Dame

  9. More protests at Keith Exford management style

A dispute at the BHT (Brighton Housing Trust), has seen workers sacked for refusing to sign new contracts which cut pay and conditions. In protest staff and clients of the trust slept out overnight on 7 October 2009.

All staff who refused to sign the new contracts were sacked. Their internal appeals against their termination were dismissed. This follows the award of substantial pay rises for chief executives of the parent Housing Associations, owned by Keith Exford's Affinity Sutton Homes Group. In 2009, the salary paid to Keith Exford was £260,263.

BHT, which enjoys charitable status, is a Housing Association providing specialist housing and a range of services to the homeless, inadequately housed and vulnerable people. These services include legal advice (on housing, debt, welfare rights, community care and immigration), day centre for homeless, housing support services, addiction recovery and mental health services as well as housing.

Above and below: BHT staff protesting at the management style of Keith Exford and his Affinity Homes Group

In July 2009 BHT management terminated the contracts of 202 members of staff and offered a new ‘take it or leave' contract which, in some cases, reduced wages by 25%, increased hours and also reduced pensions for all workers by 50%. The CEO of Downland received a 47% pay increase bringing his annual pay to over £135, 000. Keith Exford, CEO of Affinity Sutton was paid over £260,000 a year and received a 6% pay rise in the last financial year.

  11. We are fighting for the future of public sector housing in Brighton and on behalf of the vulnerable people we are privileged to serve. We not only need to highlight the injustices experienced by our own worker members but to point out how vast sums of public money are being ploughed into our parent Housing Company, Affinity Sutton and its subsidiary, Downland, which are being used up in increasing layers of administration and management at the expense of front line services.

"These unelected housing bodies are unaccountable and increasingly driven by profit. We believe their behaviour is to the detriment of thousands of vulnerable people they are supposed to house. It is a sign of the times that Housing Associations are acting like private corporations. We believe our experience is not unique and reflects a worrying trend nationally at as time of recession and repossession.”

Back in 2011 you were able to ban the author but unfortunately these posts haven’t been taken off the forum. We’re aware of who the author is of this is and have had protracted legal dealings with him in the past which resulted in obtaining an injunction and custodial sentencing against him. The claims that he makes in these posts are untrue and causing significant distress to person mentioned.

Would it be possible for you to remove the mentioned posts above and advise on when this will be completed?

    Thanks

  15. Came across a Mr Exford in Charlie Cooper's book Community, Conflict and the State: Rethinking Notions of 'Safety', 'Cohesion' and 'Wellbeing'

“A few large associations now monopolise social housing in Britain. Keith Exford, chief executive of Affinity Sutton housing association, predicts the emergence of ‘an “elite group” of a dozen associations dominating the development of affordable homes’ something he supports "If we want to play on the biggest stage we have got to be a big organisation. At the same time the salries of housing association chief executive soared in 2007 by an average of 10% (compared with 3 to 4% rises for front-line staff) – with top earners on a quarter of a million pounds.”

Exford made sure he makes money! Don't he!
