SUNAK AND TEAM PROMISE JAM TOMORROW

Senior Tories are trying to persuade Rishi to promise a reformation or abandonment of Inheritance Tax and a seismic reduction in stamp duty.

This is the same government that promised to reform the strangulating anti-Business Rates....nothing happened there!

The small print is that the promise will be within the GE manifesto.

No one believes this government will win or keep its promises.

If Rishi wants to get some traction he will need to make the changes well ahead of the election.

We all remember Osborne's empty promise to lift IHT levels to £1million.....

And whilst on the subject what on earth does Sunak think he is doing careering around the Middle East playing the international statesman.

We are a small country beset with serious problems. He will add nothing by this posturing.

Stay at home and get on with your job here.

  1. It's a bit like 'When I win the Lottery I will buy you a country estate'. Put up or shut uo, Tories. No jam tomorrow

  2. Felicity Buchan is so obsessed about her 'Energy Summit' she has forgotten about voter priorities

  3. The Tories need to sort out IHT now. It is unfair and punitive and the £6 billion it raises go towards supporting dodgy channel crossers claiming to be refugees so all our hard work and savings is wasted on gangster people smugglers

  5. How can the so called Dame prattle on about Cllr Isse carrying out genuine humanitarian work in Somalia while at the same time ignoring the fact that Cllr Roberto Weeden Sanz has abandoned his RBKC constituents to seek the Conservative Parliamentary candidacy for SCARBOROUGH AND WHITBY?? Which is where he now spends all of his time.

Seems a tad hypocritical of the Dame. Does she care to explain this or to create a separate post about it? For the sake of fairness and balance??

    1. 13:42 there are dozens of Lib Dem, Labour and Conservative councillors standing for various constituencies yet still attending to council matters. Cllr Issie is quite absent....in a paid position....in a country far from here. You might be quite intelligent but your comment does not imply much intelligence.

    2. With that reply, One suggests that the fair old Dame might like to sit and swivel.

  6. It has also been revealed today that another RBKC councillor, Sidney Yankson - is applying to become the Tory candidate in NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE

DERELICTION OF DUTY TO HIS KENSINGTON CONSTITUENTS

  7. "The Times has been told that the Tories are discussing whether to go ahead with one of two major pledges for the manifesto next year: cutting stamp duty or abolishing inheritance tax." Exactly...a manifesto pledge worth sweet F A. Do it now or shut up

  8. This government is now so weak it cannot even pass legislation on dangerous dogs ! In a dangerous world and a country with so many problems we cannot waste a further year of no government . Lets get on with a General Election now . Put Rishi out of his misery now !
