For a number of years, the impact of the development will cause a certain amount of disruption and enhanced pollution.
A massive and exciting development like this is bound to but as my grandmother used to say,"you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs"...so true!
Upon completion, we can all be proud of an iconic building that will drag King's Road kicking and screaming into the 23rd Century.
There will always be naysaying residents who cannot bear progress but the job of the planning committee is to support outstanding architectural innovation.
The architects, Pilbrow & Partners, supported by DP9 convinced me yet again that residents' views were anachronistic and selfish.
Your council has the reputation of being a listening council but sometimes a deaf ear is needed.
In the immemorial words of my colleague, Cllr Mary Weale: "We hear but we don't listen".
