BLACK HISTORY MONTH SPONSORED BY THE COUNCIL

There is something cloyingly cynical about the Council's lame efforts to ingratiate itself with K&C  black people: it's puerile and idiotic.

For example, if you are Ghanaian your interest will be in the history of the Songhai Empire. You are unlikely to care about the history of black people from Barbados.

Each country has its specific history with nothing to do with skin colour.

This lumping together of people based on skin colour is ignorant and patronising.

The Dame has forbidden her black friends to have anything to do with this nonsense.
