Cllr Mona Ahmed's hero chatting to terror leader
According to today's Times the stupid leader of Barnet Council sold a discounted council house to a wanted Hamas terror leader, Muhammad Qassem Sawalha. We even gave him British citizenship despite the Home Office barring citizenship to those supporting terrorist activities.Barnet has the highest concentration of Jewish people of any London borough: must be reassuring if Jewish to know you have someone living amongst you who wants you dead.
Barnet's Labour leader is going to investigate but if a picture is worth a thousand words don't get too excited about the outcome!
"A Hamas fugitive who “ran the group’s terrorist operations in the West Bank” and served on its ruling body lives in London in a council property he recently bought with a £112,000 discount.
Muhammad Qassem Sawalha evaded Israel’s security services using a relative’s passport and fled to the UK in the 1990s, later obtaining British citizenship.
Upon arrival, Sawalha, 62, continued to work for Hamas, holding secret talks about “revitalising” terrorist acts in Israel and helping to launder money to support activities in Gaza and the West Bank, according to a US Department of Justice indictment in 2004.
As recently as 2019, he took part in an official Hamas delegation to Moscow, where he met Vladimir Putin’s deputy foreign minister, and served on Hamas’s politburo between 2013 and 2017. The father of four was pictured with Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, in 2010 and 2012.
The Labour leader of Barnet needs a haircut and leave off the red wine!
ReplyDeleteI suppose Cllr Mona Ahmed thinks Salwaha a great man.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine any other intelligently run democracy allowing a man like this citizenship.
ReplyDeleteThink about this...most of the Labour councillors in RBKC would support Salwaha. Step forward those who would not. Cllrs Lari, Dent Coad, Ahmed....et al ....tell us what you think?
ReplyDeleteDent Coad used to publish twitter feeds saying, "I am going on an anti racist march with Jeremy Corbyn." Her association with Corbyn was all: the recognition or affirmation that her feelings or opinions were valid or worthwhile.
DeleteI've noticed that she no longer clings to Corbyn. Did he get fed up with her?
Did Dent Coad attend the recent Palestinian Solidarity Marches with Comrade Corbyn?
Perhaps, Corbyn's wife did not like EDC's clinginess. Women are funny about other women being too emotionally or otherwise dependent on their man.
DeleteGood point 15.27. There appears to be a cooling of the mutual admiration society between Corbyn and EDC.
DeleteI noticed how Emma Dent Coad latched on to Corbyn whenever she could. She needed his validation. Interesting about the "cooling." Could be to do with Mrs Corbyn.
DeleteEmma "latched on" and stood shoulder to shoulder with Jeremy Corbyn. Pity she did not stand shoulder to shoulder with Grenfell when she was our MP. Remember the poor woman, whose husband died, who begged Emma to hold her counsel over the fire brigade's management strategy on that dreadful night.
DeleteWriting a book four years later and donating the proceeds to Grenfell impressed the few, not the many. The timing of that book was designed to impress Labour's NEC and chivvy them in allowing her name to go forward for CLP members' selection.
Emma could not respect that "poor" woman's perfectly reasonable request to refrain from commenting on the fire brigade's actions on the night of the fire. She could not empathise with a desperate woman's anguish. She told her constituent rather dogmatically without any fellow feeling she had "not decided" what her position was going to be. She did what Corbyn wanted her to do and did so throughout her parliamentary career. No wonder Labour did not want her for 2024.
DeleteThe Grenfell Inquiry later agreed with the woman whose husband died. Emma lacks sound judgement and a judicial Inquiry did not agree with her.
By "latched on" do you mean she was very needy and high maintenance for Jeremy Corbyn?
DeleteShe did that "poor woman" down. Typical of her aristocratic class - knows what is best for lesser mortals.
DeleteAristocratic? She claims to be related to Christopher Columbus.
DeleteWould someone explain how she claims aristocratic lineage from a sailor born in Genoa?
Columbus was not Royal. Are we being conned by a crushing snob with a superiority complex? I bet she is as common as muck that one
Now don't forget, Catherine de Medici was aristocratic and so were the Borgias, so she is a Spanish/ Florentine aristocratic after all. One of her relations is called Borja de Borja so that is all the proof she needs to say that she is a Spanish Socialist Aristocrat.
DeleteI noticed that the Dent Coad-Corbyn "love-in" is over. When Labour quite rightly barred her from standing for parliament, it was McDonnell, not Corbyn, who went on the ten o'clock news to say, "She cares."
DeleteDent Coad has published a picture on X of her and McDonnell together at the Pro- Palestinian March last Saturday. As Dent Coad is now actively working against the interests of Kensington's Official Labour's candidate, McDonnell should not be cosying up to this 'turncoat.'
McDonnell should choose his friends more wisely.
These Labour councillors are quite obviously anti semitic.
ReplyDeleteCorbynistas are no strangers to antisemitism. When they are being anti-jewish, they say they are anti-zionist.There is a difference between jew hating and anti-zionism.
DeleteDent Coad said, "My socialism is Corbyn's socialism."
DeleteCorbyn said, "Hamas are my friends."
The Dame's correspondents have asked Dent Coad to confirm that Hamas are NOT her friends.
In the absence of Dent Coad speaking for herself on this foreign policy matter, can we conclude that her Socialism has gone too far........
If she is returned to Parlaiment in 2024, will she be taking a leaf out of Corbyn's book showing people who have condoned terrorism around the parliamentary estate.
In 2019, Dent Coad showed that she was in tune with Corbyn's antisemitic vision and endorsed an antisemitic social media feed.
DeleteShe has turned her socialism in to a brand - "My socialism is Corbyn's socialism." She needed to be in Corbyn's gang.
According to Corbyn, his "friends" are Hamas. Dent Coad claims political friendship and pledges devotion and allegiance to Corbyn. Shame be on her for not confirming or denying her "friendship" with HAMAS.
DENT COAD, the left wing mover and shaker, couldn't even shake her skirt at the Housing Department before the Grenfell Tower disaster.
DeleteShe voted to put the cladding on the Tower as part of the TMO. Or am i wrong ?
DeleteI think Emma Dent Coad was on a Council Committee (not the TMO) which should have considered the decision and the desirability of the type of cladding used on Grenfell Tower. I believe that she reported Sam Gymiah to the Police for daring to say something about this in 2019. She demanded his prosecution and even had advice from a left wing Queen's Counsel about Gymiah's criminal liability; testy stuff. The CPS decided not to prosecute Gymiah presumably because he had not committed an offence and Emma raged in high dudgeon after that.
DeleteEmma has gone to extraordinary lengths to distance herself from the Grenfell Tower cladding decision which was, in die course, considered by the Council Committee on which she served. Let's put it this way, if Emma Dent Coad knew nothing about the Grenfell Tower cladding decision because she conveniently did not attend the Committee meeting when that matter was brought up, THEN she jolly well ought to have apprised herself of the situation and spoke out against it later.
Dent Coad always wise after the event. She was wise about everything that was wrong with the TMO after the Grenfell fire but did nothing about the TMO when she was on its Board or before the fire at Grenfell.
Don't let her con you in to believing that there was "nothing an opposition councillor could do about the TMO.
I can see that Emma was no "mover and shaker." Council tenants were of relatively little significance to Emma and their concerns were dismissed by her.
DeleteEmma Dent-Coad did not even manage to "shake her skirt" at the then Chairmen of the TMO - a miserable and indequate pair at that - namely Juliet Rawlings and Reg Kerr Bell. She was hand in glove with the Tories and let the Tories shit on tenants from up on high.
DeleteGlory be to god for Emma Dent Coad, praise her.
Emma only became gobby about the cladding on Grenfell after that dreadful fire in which 72 people were killed. She should have been gobby long before the fire when the many excesses of the TMO were in common parlance amongst the many, not the few, in Kensington. She has never' apologised for failing to act earlier. It is bit late, five years on, to write a book donating the proceeds to Grenfell.
DeleteHer new found radicalism is nothing more than opportunism. She only became outspoken when she wanted to prove herself to Corbyn. When Corbyn said, "Emma is your MP, she will speak out, " I noticed that Emma just bit her lip because she she knew that she had not spoken out when she should have done. I thought talk about delusional on the part of Corbyn. Some of us knew Emma her of old. She never impressed me.
I remember that 02.49.
DeletePeople wanted Jeremy to do the talking for them about that horrendous, harrowing fire; they did not want Emma to do it.
Others on this website wanted Diane Abbott to represent the interests of people of colour who lived in Grenfell.
These desperate people did not understand that a well established parliamentary convention precludes Members of the House of Commons from representing anyone who is not one of their constituents. So, they were lumbered with "the wise after the event" Emma representing them.
Time for a change? Vote Powell.
@ 02.49 and @ 09.34. Now that comes back to me.
DeleteEmma followed Corbyn round like a long lost puppy in the vicinity of Grenfell Tower after the fire. Corbyn told the destitute people, flocking to see him, the man of the people, that "Emma is your MP. She will speak out." The lost puppy just bit her lip, feigning concern. She was terrified that someone might tell Corbyn what she was really like to people who lived in a Council flat.
"Feigning concern," that is a fab term.
DeleteEDC was seething when she stood on that platform to hear Felicity Buchan returned to parliament in 2019. She did not have the good grace to shake hands with Felicity, the victor. I thought she acted like a spoilt aristocratic brat; but, there again, she is by her own admission "one of them" - an aristocrat no less .
DeleteKensington does not need an Aristocratic Corbyn acolyte denying her marxist views and her excursions in to antisemitic and racial nastiness. Hopefully, she will be seen off at the next election.
All parties to the conflict in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory have failed to take effective precautionary measures to avoid civilian casualties, exacerbating the long-running crisis and deepening divisions and hate on all sides, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel, has said.
