THERE ARE TIMES TO LIE LOW AND TIMES TO LIE LOUDLY

Felicity Buchan is well-meaning.

Some might say her continuing loyalty to the worst Prime Minister in living/nonliving memory defines the strength of her character.

Not for her the cynical dictum of 'there are times to lie low.....'

Felicity still doesn't get it!

Backing Truss was an error of massive magnitude.

She must have been aware of the salacious tales doing the rounds of Westminister concerning some of Truss's waywardness yet still backed her over a safe pair of hands like Sunak: a man the Dame consistently backed.

Felicity is a relative newcomer to politics however to glide over the fallout from her backing of Truss is either naive or arrogant.

Her constituency is populated by sophisticated types.

To bamboozle them with this from The Update is a serious misjudgment.

"It has been another eventful week in Westminster. The Prime Minister has offered her resignation as Conservative Party leader, and a new leader will be elected within the next week. The country needs stability as we navigate choppy economic waters. Whoever is selected will have my support in that"

Felicity had two choices:

  • lay low
  •  admit her error and declare for Sunak.

  2. Guiven she is not looking to stand again in Kensington as with boundray changes it is apparently going to be a Labour seat from now on it doesn't really matter as she does very little for us now so not being here will make no difference. Lets just hope the rumours of Cowan from LBHF are not true as he is just terrible and in the**************and is no stranger to changing public meetings to behind closed door ones when it suits his agenda. And his treatment of the residents of some estates who argue against him is a whole other story (The Dame had to moderate an element as Cowan is litigious and unpleasant)

  3. Poor Felicity. Difficult not to feel very sad for her. A brilliant career behind her.

    1. Bit of supposition on the brilliant career

    2. Her Twitter account says that she is Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury. I believe that this is no longer the case.
