BORIS.....ALL MOUTH AND NO TROUSERS

In describing Mayor Johnson, the expression, All mouth and no trousers comes to mind. Were the Dame a hardworking Londoner, struggling to get to work on Tfl's rubbish transport system, she would be tempted to give him a good kick up his ample, womanising backside. The man has never had a proper job, yet has the impudence to lecture Londoners-struggling to pay their rent and mortgages-on not doing something he is expert at.....yes, skiving off!
We all remember his refusal to come back and do his job during the riots.
Boris Johnson is becoming a bore. The prospect of him ever becoming Prime Minister would force the Dame to relocate to her enormous property in Thailand...the one that adjoins Boris's amigo, Danny "Boys" Moylan. Johnson needs to know when to shut up.
SKIVER IN CHIEF

 From the Standard
"Boris Johnson today urged Londoners not to allow the Games to become a “skiver’s paradise” as he pressed businesses to make advance preparations to deal with transport disruptions. The Mayor said that the Games should not be used as an excuse by employees not to turn up at work. He also warned of the danger of missing the economic opportunity that was being presented by the number of visitors expected in the capital. Speaking to a meeting of business leaders, he urged companies and workers to plan ahead and use a new Tfl website designed to help commuters check for delay hotspots. He said: “There is a risk if people delay that the Olympics will become a bludger’s charter or skiver’s paradise. What I don’t want to see are businesses with tarpaulins draped over them and taxi drivers going on holiday to Marbella"

  1. He was once mildly amuusing, but is now just ludicrous. Every appointment, except for Victoria Borwick has been flawed. He a liability we have foolishly self inflicted

  2. skiver’s paradise - I thought that was another reason the unions want more pay to do their job during the Olympics.

The games have become a joke for UK residents. Those who tried to get tickets mostly failed. But foreign people got everything that they asked for and then were invited to buy more! Policy is to sell to foreigners because they will come to the UK, spend money on hotels and food and shopping.

Overnight rates at Limehouse Marina have shot up from £28 per night to £200 per night during the games.

Olympic games are supposed to be for the people. Tax payers (who fund the event) get a chance to visit once in a lifetime. But not in contemporary Britain

  5. Random responses from largely uninterested cab drivers indicate that some intend to decamp to Marbella. Most of the rest will work at night, when at least they'll be able to move round the city. Roll on Christmas.

  6. Fed up with the boris attitude, comments like this are proving that beneath, the rogue image there is another
    Bulllington out of touch boy.

Has he actually seen the London workforce recently. They battle everyday on the miserable tube, pay a fortune to use a service to stand in someone's armpit for an hour or so. Rarely complain about the fact they are packed like sardines into a can and still paying for it! Have to walk the tracks in the dark when the bloody things stop and still pay for it. I do not understand how elf and safety let's TFL away with this.

And then the Olympics arrive to a city that inevitably will in part come to a standstill because the infrastructure is not here to cope with such an influx of people. And the people left behind to deal with this mess will be the ordinary people Boris!

  7. Initially, I thought Boris was a breath of fresh air but he has disappointed. Boris needs to knuckle down and at least try to understand the plight that a lot of Londoners find themselves in. The cost of London Transport is far too high. I understand that 40% of users are either paying nothing or are travelling at a reduced fare because of the flawed Freedom Pass. This country can no longer afford hand outs and that is exactly what the Freedom Pass is. It absolutely irresponsible not to have restrictions so that it is only issued to those who have paid National Insurance Contributions/Council Tax, who are retired, have a nominal income and and have reached the age of 65. If everybody actually paid who use tfl the cost of travelling could be significantly reduced. The Freedom Pass was introduced by Red Ken. It has also been supported by Boris and none other than the incompetent and devious leader of RBK&C.

  8. I also think that Boris should set an example himself and focus himself on the every day problems Londoners have; getting to work is one. Who on earth would offer a bonus to one part of tfl i.e. London Underground and expect other parts i.e. the Bus drivers to go without and just accept it. In truth no bonuses should have been offered to any employee of tfl for working during the Olympics. So much for the business acumen of both Daniel Moylan and Boris; neither has a clue. Boris has come from a privileged background and to hear him occasionally supporting the bankers makes me quite angry. He should remember that he is accountable to all Londoners and not just to his friends; that is probably why he only won the recent election by such a small majority of around 3% despite his opponent being Ken Livingstone. Boris could well be on borrowed time unless he starts to achieve tangible successes and improvements and spending less time on photo calls such as on the front of today's Evening Standard with his friend Mr Agius,ex-Chairman of Barclays Bank.
