If you wanted to learn arabic, you wouldn't retain the services of a mathematics professor to tell you how they leave vowels out of written arabic, and reads from right to left.
Well you wouldn't, would you.
So then why would anyone engage the services of a planning consultant that has no formal qualification in planning, and only credential is being an elected member who sits on the planning committee?
I am sure the member concerned would only do this once he or she has resigned their seat in order to avoid any conflict of interest.
