This is not good enough!
Councillors are paid a basic allowance of around £12,000 a year plus expenses.
For a councillor with this additional income to refuse to pay Council Tax insults the hard-pressed residents the idiots claim they represent.
When the Dame finds out who they are(and have no doubt she will) you will read about it here.
It is simply abhorrent.
Dear Dame,
ReplyDeleteI am dying to know which Councillors of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea were summoned for non-payment of Council Tax. It would beggar belief if the good Tories had failed to pay.
In 1990, Labour run Hammersmith and Fulham let it be known that Carol Thatcher had been summoned for non-payment of Community Charge. Carol came out of her house and was filmed walking to a pillar box to post her cheque for unpaid poll tax and court costs to the Council.
Did the Council apply for Summonses on Complaint against these parasites in order to obtain Liability Orders,
or
Did the Council apply for Means Enquiry Summons requiring the defaulters' committal to prison for a period not exceeding 60 days.
The Summons Costs are £ 85.00
ReplyDeleteWhen the debt is proved in Court the Liability Order costs are a further £25.00
If the bailiff distrains goods and chattels, the bailiff levies a charge for his services.
Some Council offer to write off Court Costs and Liability Order Costs once the debt has been paid off in full.
I hope you find out who they are Dame. They apparently come from a mix of political parties. They have now all paid up and won't be facing the magistrates.
