The lives of thousands of residents have been wrecked by Thames Water.
Thames Water says any claims arising from the mid-July floods will not be met as it has not been negligent. That position needs to be tested in court.
It is only right that the Council stands behind residents and pays £20,000 or so for a top counsel's opinion.
So, no excuses, Cllr Campbell. Show your mettle.
Tell your 'boss' Doc Quirk you want an opinion on your desk within the month!
This an excellent idea. Seems like the 'Campbells are NOT coming!'
ReplyDeleteIn the Zoom meeting with TW organised by Felicity Buchan there was questioner who was clearly extremely wealthy, if not a billionaire, and extremely angry, who said he was going to sue. Any idea what happened?
ReplyDeleteThe Councillors need to press on this. It's a great idea
ReplyDeleteThe Leader needs a very good reason for not seeking the opinion of a Silk
ReplyDeleteDon't hold your breath. Cllr Campbell has no interest in "live" issues for residents. She is part of a process nightmare organisation, put in place by Chief Clerk Quirk, that is filling in forms and ticking boxes. They feel important and feel they are doing something.
DeleteBut actually, they are irrelevant. Just a taxpayer overhead.
