The Dame recalls a meeting with Mr Hands and his entourage. During the meeting, he told the Dame, "you do know I am a minister".
The Dame rebuked him saying, "we are never given the opportunity to forget it".
Felicity has a public relations lady and now a 'Chief of Staff'!
The Dame always felt that only Field Marshals had Chiefs of Staff so perhaps Felicity is readying herself for the electoral battle ahead?
In 2019 she scraped in with a mini majority of just 150.
Next time around she will be up against Joe Powell with none of the Commie baggage of Emma Dent Coad.
The Dame raised with Felicity's office this CASE.
She hoped Felicity might spare a moment from ingratiating her way to the top and raise the matter with the relevant regulatory bodies.... including the Secretary of State for Business.
Not a hope.
Her 'Chief of Staff' basically told the old Dame to buzz off and that it would be picked up by a 'case worker'.
Improbable though the vision might be The Dame fears that Felicity might be soaring too close to the sun...and we all know what befell Icarus.
Not too smart pissing off the Dame when you have a piss poor majority
ReplyDeleteJoe Powell could easily wipe out Buchan. They will regret choosing this featherweight when I was ready to step up to the plate
ReplyDeletedanny you’re a joke mate. give it up, spare us all and just DO ONE
Delete"Just do one"? This is why Whig aristocrats such as I should run things. Common people should know their place.
DeleteMy mother in law would apply an equine saying to the likes of Miss Buchan..."can't take oats". Sir Malcolm Rifkind never saw the need for a Head of PR or Chief of Staff. What on earth has got into the woman?
ReplyDeleteWhat we see so clearly within the present government is a dearth of leadership. I mean....Grant Shapps in the Cabinet! The very idea is risible. I am sure Miss Buchan is very hard working but a leader in waiting she is not and therein lies the problem. Too many rather dull people struggling to achieve high offices of State.
ReplyDeleteI am not dull: I just happen to come from North East Scotland so dour not dull
DeleteI am certain that Dent Coad's decision to nail her colours to Jeremy Corbyn's Communism in 2019 played straight in to Felicity's victory. But this time, the Labour Party is under proper management with Keir Starmer, (a successful lawyer instead of an antisemitic North London Polytechnic dropout.) With Joe Powell as the candidate for Kensington- Flicka's days are sure to be numbered. It would be nice if Fulham and Chelsea shafted Greg Hands.
ReplyDeleteLabour has also adopted a credible candidate in Chelsea too & Hands has little if anything to recommend him does he ?
ReplyDeleteWho is the Labour candidate for Chelsea?
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing to commend Greg Hands to the electorate - 12.58
DeleteI want Greg to lose his seat at the next election. He is a Tory "YES" man.
I informed him of serious matters regarding Kensington and Chelsea that should have been of concern to any responsible politician. He declined to do anything and suggested that I should see a Tory Councillor who is not all that clever. If I had told him the same things about Hammersmith and Fulham's Labour Council he would have hot tailed it to the Minister; and probably to the police.
When I think how marvellous Clark, Portillo and Rifkind were as constituency MP's. All mavericks in their own way, none of them "YES" men.
Who has Labour chosen for Chelsea at the General Election?
God Bless the Dame: what would we do without her vigilance?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that is better about Felicity compared to EDC is Felicity is always so well turned out. Other than that, they are both useless in politics.
