Locally, the Dame is highly influential. In January, at a few days notice, the Hornet reported RBKC's alleged, "public meetings," on the future of Portobello Market. RBKC had simply "forgotten" to invite the public! Thanks to the Dame and the Hornet, and at the shortest possible notice, 300+ locals turned up! RBKC instantly found reverse gear!
Ok, then explain to me how 9000 international views on one blog will translate into more votes against EDC at the next election. You think those 9000 people will all flood into RBKC and turn up on the day?
Was there ever a suggestion that the 9000 votes could impact on local elections? Only in your mind. The figure is mind boggling in the sense that a small local blog with minimal promotion can reach such a global audience. One can also assume that many of the international audience will have a connection with one of the globe's most affluent areas

This means that the Dame at the next election will be the King or Queen maker. She has the power to make or break a candidate.
ReplyDeleteYeah…. cos 9000 INTERNATIONAL views will really translate into local votes in Norland, won’t it?
Delete'Yeah' 'cos'... 07:41 doesn't sound too articulate....foolish person...The Dame is not just about Norland.

DeleteWhat has 07:41 & 14:48 been smoking?
DeleteWhat have you been smokin' 07:41/ 14:48? Tell us
DeleteNot sure what Norland ward has to do with anything. 07:41/14:48 is either as high as a kite or they're confusing the Dame with another blog.
DeleteGuessing it's the former because they're also bonkers enough to reckon on EDC being the frontrunner for Kensington.
Well done Dame for years of witty insightful & cutting blog posts, for inspiring most of the other local blogs & now getting views all over the world.
It is reckoned that one of Dent Coad's acolytes is on something and, therefore, "as high as a kite."
Delete17:51 Thank you, my dear
DeleteBe in no doubt, the General Election will be a shitshow.
