COUNCIL FAT CATS HAVE NO COST OF LIVING CRISIS

If you are wondering what career advice to offer your offspring how about being a fat cat local government chap?
Taxpayers Alliance has just published its Council Fat Cat survey. The salaries plus platinum-plated pensions these nonentities collect are just unworldly.

Council leaders like the ineffectual Cllr Campbell claim 'we have to pay these amounts to stop them being lured into the private sector'...she must be truly stupid to belive the 'For Profit' sector would take on these 'Waste your Money' experts.

The only council officers who might be lured into the private sector are planners going to work for DP9.

We have had 11 years of disastrous Toryism- a decade of profligacy and waste.

This latest survey is a crushing indictment of those years.

Its a job creation gravy train. Unfortunately Tory voters are too lazy to hold dizzy and the Town Hall to account and Labour are too busy with their infighting to focus on a kick up the back side for the Tories. Dizzy is home and dry and on her way to the Lords. Which will make way for another trougher and puffer.

We have only ourselves to blame. It is a "long live the parasite" world. WHat we need is a plague to shake things up

    1. The Labour Party has not offered any sort of decent opposition to the Tories since Blakeman and Atkinson bailed out of politics. I have never known so much trouble in the local party. I miss Councillor Monica Press.

    2. I recall the Dame mentioning that EDC had a go at Party canvassers for Labour's failure to take more seats when the Council was last elected.
I hope Joe Powell now feels confident to have a go at the Labour band of toxic, divisive, Councillors on the EDC bus to defeat at the General Election. Joe doesn't need Corbynistas and Trots talking to voters. Their politics is not for Kensington.

  2. Concerning to see that some of these officers have been anonymised.
Guildford & Wyre Forest appear to have picked up lack of transparency tips from RBKC. If taxpaying residents are paying for officers salaries upwards of £600K upwards then surely they have the right to know who these people are and what they supposedly do.

  3. In too many places Local Government has become a defacto monopoly with Councillors and the Town Hall answerable to nobody. Pathetic and apathetic residents have only themselves to blame.

  4. The two party system in local elections has a lot to answer for. A switch to the STV system would really shake things up by ensuring that councillors & candidates would have to prove their worth as well as bringing in smaller parties & ending a lot of jobs for life for the useless & the wasteful. Voter turnouts would improve if there was more power restored to the voter.
