"SHE MAKES US FEEL SO COMMON"

Emma Dent Coad does have a sense of humour so won't be offended by Private Eye alluding to her aristocratic Spanish forbears.
The Queen, when someone mentioned Princess Michael of Kent, is reported to have said, "she makes us feel so common"
Lady D'Oyly Toad. What a hoot!
ReplyDeleteShe is doing her best to take revenge on her genes and ex beau by being a thorough and boring socialist nuisance. Hopefully she will get over it sometime soon and become a useful member of society,
What a rag bag of humanity we find in Labour.
If she were still married to Sir Hadley, I bet she would style herself
DeleteEmma, Lady D'Oyly Dent-Coad.
Better still, Emma, Lady D'Oyly Carte. Star of the operetta.
DeleteIf some day it should happen that a victim must be found,
Deleteshe's got a little list,
she's got a little list,
of Hornet Offenders who might well be underground,
let none of them be missed, let none of them be missed,
there's the pestilential nuisances who tell everyone that I am classy,
I've got em on the list,
I've got 'em on the list,
and the people who have written this,
I've got on the list, I've got on the list,
and let none of them be missed for she's got 'em on the list,
There's the lady from Knightsbridge who moans about my dress,
I've got her on the list,
I've got her on the list
and the lady of advancing years who twixt you and me says that Jeremy Corbyn beats a month of HRT,
I've got her on the list
I've got her on the list............
What a missed opportunity for the Royal Borough. Mega snob Barry Phelps would have been sorely tempted to join the K&C Labour Party if there had been a "Lady" in the ranks.
ReplyDeleteBarry is no longer with us.....on some offshore heaven
DeleteI was on the TMO when Emma was on it. She used to speak down to people that she thought were inferior to her. She was dreadful to Reg and Juliet just because they were Tories. She mocked any one who disagreed with her. People of real class and breeding don't behave like Emma Dent Coad.
ReplyDeleteShe's typical of the upper classes. Arrogant and knows what's good for the lower classes.
DeleteNo one would have found out about her class if she had not told everyone about it.
I was at school with Emma. I bumped in to her shortly after she got married. She waxed lyrical about becoming Lady something or other when her father-in-law died.
ReplyDeleteShe was no different at school. She looked down on girls whose parents did not have posh jobs. She gave herself heirs and graces claiming to be a cut above the rest of us.
DeleteIf Cllr EDC MP had gone to public school, she would have been told how to be classy without ever mentioning it. Drawing attention to one's high class position by telling everyone is common and, as vulgar as talking about money.
DeleteThe worst MP we have ever had. Loud, embarrassing, mouthy and "vulgar."
DeletePortillo, Rifkind, and Borwick were more dignified.
Deleteif she goes for re-election, people will need to exploit her social class obsessions.
ReplyDeleteMore to the point, she uses every possible opportunity to create dissension in north Kensington. She seems to believe that her socialist utopia will be created via an avalanche of lies.
ReplyDeleteThe thousands of Tories, rightly unimpressed by Hornton Street, would be well advised to stop sitting on the sidelines and vote her out at the earliest opportunity.
Its all very awkward and unprofessional - what she says and does seems very argumentative and unhelpful. What is her legacy to date and what has the Lady achieved as MP for K+C?
ReplyDeleteThat's right 12.23 on 7th May.
DeleteLest we forget Labour Councillors gave Emma the bum's rush and sacked her as their leader on the Council only a few years ago. She's never been popular and has never been less popular.
By "argumentative" do you mean that she is always right and knows best.
ReplyDeleteIt's not surprising that RBKC's Labour group sacked her as Leader. EDC is the most divisive creature in London. She tried to pick a fight over the ornate decor of the ballroom chosen for Grenfell enquiry preliminary hearings. Lady DC, who daily attends the Palace of Westminster, claimed to be intimidated by chandeliers!
ReplyDeleteExactly. She is a pathetically inadequate politician. If she were able to think like a socialist (quite honestly she is unable to do so) she would find something more important to be oppositionist about than the light fittings in the venue where the Grenfell Enquiry was being held. The truth is that she was miffed that she was not afforded "core participant status" at the hearing. She served on the TMO Board for years and knew the culture of the TMO better than anyone. Pompous piffle from a left winger with an over inflated view of how important she is No one in their right mind would give Emma a "beefed up" role which is why Labour Councillors sacked her.
ReplyDeleteI think Sir Martin Moore Bick got the measure of our MP, well he wouldn't he, he has sat in Court for years and seen people like her coming.
"No one in their right mind would give Emma a "beefed up" role which is why Labour Councillors sacked her." Hear, hear.
ReplyDeleteI am a Black North Kensington resident. Will Emma Dent Coad call for Danny Baker's dismissal from the BBC when she has been found guilty of racist remarks about a Black local politician and been allowed to stay on in egalitarian Corbyn's Labour Party. She got away with racism because she only insulted a Black Tory and that's alright.
ReplyDeleteTyron, I've never thought about that before. How can she represent Black people and tackle racism head on when she has made very racist and nasty remarks.
DeleteIts lucky the Lady follows this blog and posts replies - perhaps this feedback will help her understand how RBKC constituents feel
ReplyDeleteShe can't complain. She's a laughing stock. She's a socialist contradiction. She believes in classism and in expressing prejudices towards Black Conservatives. She has lied about Prince Harry's qualifications to fly a helicopter. With this history of nastiness she's hardly able to complain about Baker's dreadful picture and ignorant caption.
ReplyDelete@12.07 There is unusual about that - Ms Abbot, Mr Corbyn are no different and they all fly the red flag.
ReplyDeleteFree People, how right you are!
ReplyDeleteWould you agree that the Gracious Noble Dame, that paragon of virtue in Kensington and Chelsea, has provided those of us who refuse to be conned by our Labour MP a platform to show her up and oppose her in public. Thanks to the Dame, we now know about:-
Her classism.
Her racism toward political opponents.
Her lack of popularity amongst Labour Councillors who sacked her.
Her attack on the appointment and decisions of the Court of Appeal Judge, Sir Martin Moore Bick, who followed legal precedent correctly.
Sending her kids to one of the most exclusive fee paying schools when everyone else's kids are told to go the local schools run by the Council.
Lying about Prince Harry's ability to fly a helicopter. She could not bring herself to commend him for a generous donation to Grenfell survivors.
And the biggest blunder of all, COMMENDING the Council for listening to residents about the refurbishment of Grenfell Tower.
Yes of course @20.05, well said, but it comes from the top.
ReplyDeleteCorbyn is privately educated and has achieved nothing in his whole political career, except shouting from the side lines, which is is still doing.
Corbyn is posh middle class
ReplyDeleteDent Coad is posher in the upper aristocratic class
Both claim to be socialists.
John Prescott is a proper working class Yorkshire bloke.
what about their advisers? Laura & Angus Drummond-Murray-the father and daughter duo who advise Pooter.
DeleteAnd Winchester and Oxford educated Seamus, 'the Anus', Milne.
Despite her appalling attitudes with her dreadful socialist platitudes, she remains a socialist and a for reasons that escape me a Labour MP
ReplyDeletelots of opinion, but Is there any likelihood the Lady will leave office/RBKC anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteI have never read anything good about her anywhere.
The only way that Emma will go is if she is voted out or deselected by her Party. Mind you, she has an excessively high opinion of herself and her abilities - so I would not be surprised if she stood as an Independent parliamentary candidate if the local Labour lot see her off.
ReplyDeleteIf this happens, she will still be on the Council though. However, no one on the Council takes any notice of her so she should not do too much harm by staying on as a Councillor. Come to think of it, Labour Councillors do not rate her much which is why they brought Atkinson in.
The Grenfell people no longer sing Emma Dent Coad's praises.
ReplyDeleteLabour Councillors are not banging the drum for their first ever Labour MP.
Unusual when you think about it.
DeleteLabour Cllrs cannot chime in for her, they sacked her. Emma's hard lines.
ReplyDeleteDear Dame,
ReplyDeleteYou do a great service to the community. You show up all politicians regardless of political party. I must say that Mrs Dent-Code is an exceedingly nasty politician.
From reading what is on here, Emma Dent Coad was sacked by Labour Councillors.
ReplyDeleteSacked from what?
Prior to Emma Dent Coad getting the sack, when was the last time that Labour Councillors sacked another Councillor?
How did someone who sacked by the Labour Party ever get to become a Labour MP?
I didn't think socialists believed in sacking anyone. i thought the socialist way is to allow people to continue doing a job no matter how bad they are at it so long as the person doing the job is making the very best effort.
ReplyDeleteI think by "sacked" the contributor is referring to Emma Dent Coad being voted in by Labour Councillors as Leader of the Labour Group on the Council. Labour Councillors decided to sack her and brought in Robert Atkinson to the job instead. The good Atkinson has been Leader of the Opposition for a much longer time than Emma Dent Coad reigned in that role. I have lived in Kensington all my life and do not remember any other MP being so unpopular.
ReplyDeleteSo why did she get the sack?
DeleteAstounding. How did she get on the list to fight the parliamentary seat when she was sacked by local Labour Party Councillors when she was their Leader on K&C Council.
ReplyDeleteOnly Labour could do it. Sack a senior councillor and then let them stand for a parliamentary seat.
DeleteCome on now, she's one of the stars of the Labour movement.
DeleteGive her due she's always on the side of the underdog right or wrong.
