This begs the question as to why the Cabinet was so bloated in the first place.....jobs for the boys & gals?
Anyway, it seems that the two deputy leaders are now picking up, with their cllr allowances, close to £50,000 a year each.
This is more than any other UK council.
The Dame is an old fashioned thing.
Thanks to a string of well-negotiated divorces the old thing is stinking rich.
Cllrs Taylor-Smith and Pascall are both nearly as loaded as the Dame and should thus forgo their £1,000 a week allowances. It's called public service.
Pooter Cockell A BOUNDER OF A FAG SALESMAN |
Sky high allowances were organised by the appalling Pooter Cockell whose greed knew no bounds.
So Pascal, Taylor-Smith and Pascall are being paid £170,000 a year!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable!!!!!
Being a councillor is very rewarding.....financially!
This new Leader just does not get it. She sends a smug reply to the Dame, written by a pen pushing Officer trained to draft a "balanced" reply that justifies the change in terms of savings.
ReplyDeleteCllr Campbell, if you had one ounce of Leadership and one gram of empathy, you would would heave replied from the heart (please leave out all that Government nonsense about the Local Government Act) along the lines of "Dear Dame, Your point is well taken. I have decided to bring our allowances into line with neighbouring Boroughs and even though I judge it necessary to appoint an extra Deputy Leader in the new Cabinet, both of these posts will carry a standard Cabinet allowance. As a gesture to the Grenfell disaster, I have also decided to donate the first year of my Leader's allowance to the disaster fund"
absolute crap. This proves that this woman is nothing but an empty shell of humanity, devoid of any intellect, empathy. she is morally bankrupt. Letter written by none other but dear Ms Parker - she is very good with this stuff, you know..
DeleteTime to clear out this bunch of Tory imposters. Bring on Labour after the election next year and force the local Conservatives to regroup with real Conservatives and a different outlook.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily LABOUR, just a new lot, should that be possible. The gravy train and the bulging brown envelopes are extremely good inducements to quickly forget about everything.
DeleteCan we FOI the list of expenses to see if they are legitimate? £1000 pw expense bills seem excessive. What do they spend it on? Whining and Dining?
ReplyDeleteHere are the expenses and allowances but these are probably not as detailed as they should be.

Only the minimum to satisfy the requirement needs to be submitted/declared. Screwed again, friend,
DeleteTypical condescending and fuck off reply. Grenfell residents very accustomed to this
ReplyDeleteEvery TMO tenant is very well accustomed to the "condescending thank you and fuck off" letters that roll off the word processors in that dreadful place.
DeleteAm I thick but can anyone enlighten me as to why Robert Black, Sasha Jevans, Theresa Brown, Peter Maddison and Yvonne Birch still have jobs?
They are responsible for treating tenants in this way.
How bad do they have to be before someone says, "enough is enough."
oh, please wake up! Your criteria DO NOT APPLY. They will soldier on regardless. Anyway, who do you think will do the gracious deed? Nobody. They are all wallowing in this bottomless stinking swamp.
DeleteEmma Dent Coad MP has not done much about getting rid of the dross at the TMO. Inconsistent with her socialist principles.
DeleteTo Wide awake: the TMO's board of Governors is toothless and has no executive powers whatsoever. That too needs to be changed.
DeleteBruno. Dent Coad has got a gob on her. That's why she is in the House of Commons. The question is why has Dent Coad not called for the heads of Black, Brown, Jevans, Maddison and Birch? We all know that the TMO Board has no powers to sack or discipline the culprits. But if Dent Coad shot her mouth off in the same way Atkinson does, I am sure that all of those above would have been on their way out by now.
DeleteDent Coad has good reason to be silent on the refurbishment of Grenfell.
Delete21.54 I have concerns about Emma Dent Coad's acquiescence in the Tenant Management sham during her time as a TMO Board member. I saw her on Channel 4 News acknowledging her former role on the Board laying blame firmly at the door of the wealthy Tory Council.
DeleteShe knew exactly how tenants were treated by the TMO and was quick to tell Channel 4 about it. Emma did not break ranks and speak out when she was a TMO Board member. She maintained the collective responsibility line required of every TMO Board member and, I believe, must explain why she did that in order to be held to account.
21.54. If Emma has reason to be "silent" on the refurbishment of Grenfell Tower, plese tell us why?
E Campbell will never "get it." She only "gets"matters such as the Americas Cup and the British Virgin Islands. At a time like this, she's politically as much use as a chocolate teacup.
ReplyDeleteIn a remarkable display of understanding, the judge and his barristers at last night's pre-Grenfell public enquiry meeting "got it." Loudly criticised from all sides, they patiently listened and explained procedures to their justifiably anguished audience. There were no RBKC councillors nor officers. No resident-funded guards. Just the public and the lawyers. This in itself was extraordinary. In his quiet way the judge is a true leader.
18.52 on the face of it this sounds quite remarkable. Is there any press report of this meeting?
ReplyDeleteIts all in the name: Me-ric-ck-Cock-ell
ReplyDeleteCockell was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours List, 2010, "for services to local government" Oops!
oh, dear what F*ck up.
DeleteSad Badger. So eloquently put. We ain't seen nothing yet.
ReplyDeleteParticularly, as the access to KAA has now been dug up by the BBC, going back to 2010.. How much have the boys made out of this - by pushing through the Planning Application, with the 'phantom' GT demolition application?
DeleteNOT A MENTION OF RBKC IN SIR MERRICK COCKELL'S LINKEDIN PROFILE!
ReplyDeleteHOW COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE? HE HAS FORGOTTEN US ALREADY!
