Well done Hornets and Thinkers for catching this shallow, vain and shameless opportunist out good and proper. Looking forward to Ms Coad losing her deposit on election day.
Her canvassers are simply throwing leaflets into buildings in Longridge and Earls Coury Road and making a mess. They can’t be bothered to use the post boxes beside the front door! My neighbour told me that between 2 buildings and ours there were a total of 62 leaflets scattered across the receptions of the front door. The workmen said he advised them of the post boxes but they ignored him and carried on like that! My neighbour seem to it that neighbouring blocks binned them. Obviously her own team doubt her and can’t be bothered either
Well, well! Like the blog, I had thought that EDC's campaigning against those awful flourish plans was genuine but now I know better. How disappointing and what a let down for us residents living close by who really will suffer because of this development.
I have never been taken in by Emma Dent Coad. So this is further evidence of her hypocrisy. You just never know who is "in bed "with whom nowadays. The brilliant Dent Coad strategist allowed Bednarski to sign her nomination paper.
As she is once again running with the hare and hunting with the hounds, I think we can say that despite her protestations to the contrary that she likes the "bridge too far" project and hopes it will be built.
Election campaign finance rules dictate that once the election has been called, the rules for collecting and declaring donations are different and therefore for the sake of transparency a new fundraiser has been set up to allow for more rigorous tracking and reporting of campaign donation/expenditure figures. There’s nothing else to it.
So 10.49, the Good Dent Coad is complying with election rules. I am very pleased to hear it.
It is a pity that she did not subscribe to the good practice which underpins these election rules throughout the entire period of her fundraising campaign - including all of the fundraising that she did before the General Election was called.
I am sure you will say that she was not obliged to do this but it would be nice if she set herself higher standards compared to her opponents, Flicka and Joe.
When all is said and done, good practice is good practice and we all know that Emma is a shining example of good practice. She gave up her Councillor's Allowance as a matter of good practice when she was returned to parliament to ensure that she was not paid twice over for representing those in Golborne Ward. She did not want to be paid by the House of Commons for representing Golborners and again by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for representing Golborners.
I WANT TO KNOW WHO GAVE HER-
£5,000 £2,500.
Even if Dent Coad loses, she will still be a Councillor and not know the identity of those who gave £7,500 for her parliamentary campaign might possibly create a conflict of interests.
Emma Dent Coad has been given two massive anonymous donations for her parliamentary campaign through the Go Fund Me website. One donation for £5, 000 the other £2,500. She has raised £40,000 through the Go Fund Me portal and this £7,500 equates to 18.75% of all the money she has raised through the Go Fund Me platform.
Anonymous donations to people in public life should not be allowed.
Joe Powell is not a double agent. Tia of THINK has proved that Emma DeNt Coad is. If the Dent Coad camp make "specific" allegations against Powell, he will answer them.
Emma Dent Coad's campaign is now Crowdfunding on a different platform. She has set a target of £ 17, 000 on the new platform and already has £ 6, 000 of that in donations.
Go Fund Me disable accounts because the Fundraiser has VIOLATED their terms and conditions. Very greedy to go to a new platform just because donations on one platform have dried up.
On the 14th June 2022, Emma Dent Coad declared in The Guardian,
. My socialism is Corbyn's Socialism. .
Corbyn exonerates Vladimir Putin from blame for his genocidal invasion of Ukraine. Corbyn reckons that NATO's very being is to blame.
So when you cast your ballot on the 4th July, just remember that Emma Dent Coad, the most impassioned exponent of Corbyn's Socialism, blames NATO for the extortionate gas and electricity bills that you now have to pay.
"Emma Dent Coad, that most impassioned exponent of Corbyn's Socialism, blames NATO for the extortionate gas and electricity bills that you now have to pay."
Doorstep canvassers for the Labour and Tory parties take heed.
I see both the Telegraph and the Mail are incredulous that Starmer has suggested Corbyn might have been a better Prime Minister than the worst Prime Minister in modern history. Hardly a ringing endorsement of Corbyn, but nonetheless an accurate analysis of Johnson.
As you intimate, Dent Coad is Corbyn's puppet on a string. Corbyn hates western values. He has respect for Hamas, and their Iranian ties. He has described these terrorists who are bankrolled by Iran as his "friends."
Hamas seeks to annihilate all Jews and Gay Men worldwide. In Iran, Hamas supports the Government's policy of the hanging in public of gay men in Tehran's Justice Square. Peter Thatchell regards this as a human rights violation but Jeremy Corbyn likes Hamas.
Emma is out of her depth on Foreign Policy and adheres to Corbyn's Socialism.
Emma has been invited to tell us if she toes Corbyn's line on Hamas/ Iran. Joe Powell and Felicity Buchan will both proudly tell us their positions on Foreign Policy. so,......... ................................................................................ What does Emma Dent Coad have to hide by not telling his what we need to know?
As Polling Day draws near, I thought it might be useful to investigate the claims made by various Hornets over the years that Emma Dent Coad, Kensington's former Labour MP, is a Marxist / Trot - something which she vehemently denies. I came across some interesting information on the Internet that I would like to share with your readers.
The Socialist Party, formerly known as Militant - the well known Trotskyite faction which was expelled from the Labour Party in the 1980's, hosted its Socialism 2023 rally. Socialism 2023, is a rally of Socialists intellectuals, the intelligentsia of the Left who meet to exchange Left wing ideas. It is a far cry from the meetings of Labour's Fabian Society which advocates non-Marxist, non-revolutionary, Democratic Socialism. Democratic Socialism is the stuff of Sydney and Beatrice Webb, George Bernard Shaw, H.G Wells, J.B Priestley and George Orwell. Fabianism would not find favour amongst the Marxist, Trots and Anarcho-Syndiclists attending Socialism 2023 to listen the Left's finest.
One of the speakers at Socialism 2023 was Kensington and Chelsea's Independent Councillor Emma Dent Coad.
Click on the link to see read what Emma Dent Coad said during her address to the Socialism 2023 rally.
We often hear the term Libertarian New Right nowadays to refer to Right Wing free market thinkers (Jacob Rees Mogg, Steve Baker, and David Davies.) Interestingly, Fifty years ago, those supporting The Socialist Party today would have been described as the Libertarian Left. What we can definitely conclude is that Left and Right Wing Libertarians represent the views of the hard right and the far left politically.
Perhaps, EDC escaped Labour's purge of Syndicalist - Trots in the 1980's and came to Starmer's notice.
Dent Coad denies that she is Marxist, Trotskyite or Syndicalist. She describes herself as "cuddly." Fabian Socialist are paternalistic and "cuddly." The same cannot be said of Marxist, Trots, and other revolutionary communists.
Dent Coad is known for the Marxist / Trotskyite company she keeps.
She was seen with Corbynistas at Momentum. She denies that she is, or has ever been, a member of Momentum - they allowed her in when others have to pay to gain access to their meetings. Fellow Travellers get a warm welcome and a free entry to Momentum.
She was welcomed with open arms by the Socialist Party's organisers at the "Socialism 2023" event. The Socialist Party used to be called Militant - hard line Trots.
EDC has now given an interview to Counterfire, the Revolutionary Socialist Group, on Why I'm standing??
Like all politicians, she wants the money. £91K, plus pension rights and expenses. She would never get that with a proper job.
From time to time, Emma Dent Coad is interviewed in the Morning Star newspaper. Their editorial line is that of the CPGB - The Communist Party of Great Britain.
Yours in proletarian solidarity and the class struggle.
I know she signed up to Corbyn's Eurosceptic line and endorsed his left wing "nuanced" Brexit plans. She then played the part of an ardent Remainer for the benefit of Kensington constituents.
She then lost her credibility as a Remainer with the Leading EU Remain think tank.
When Emma Dent Coad paraded Jeremy Corbyn around Grenfell and Latimer Road, did she have the Trotskyite Choral Society in waiting to give a dulcet rendition of "Oh, Jeremy Corbyn?"
God! Corbyn had a 64% share of the vote in Islington North in 2019. If he is unseated this time round, it would be a wondrous and impressive shafting.
One thing for sure, the UK electorate did not want Corbynism in 2019. He may be in difficulty in Islington North now, so it may be the end of the road for the Anarcho-Syndiclism in Parliament.
13.24 wants to know how EDC did a deal with the Tories.
EDC worked jointly with the Tories when she was a Director of the Tenant Management Organisation.
She had only been a Director of the Company for a very short time when she personally witnessed 2,000 tenants revolt against the Tory tenant management sham at the Town Hall one evening.
She did not resign from the Company's Board and band together with the rebels; like any proper socialist would.
Oh no, she went on collaborating with the Tories and was a Director of the TMO for another two to three years.
She knew that council tenants were suffering. By "suffering," I mean on a par with the Sub-Postmasters.
She sold TMO tenants down the river because she thought if the Tory Council had too many complaints about the TMO, they would sell off all the flats. She was one of these upper class types who always knew what was best for people.
The Chair of Islington North Labour Party has been forced to resign from the Labour Party after she was caught campaigning on the door step for Jeremy Corbyn. Corbyn was recently expelled from our Party.
Don't you think it about time that those members of the Labour Party who are campaigning for Emma are expelled?
What is the point in my campaigning for you if others can nullify my hard work?
I was talking to a woman in the supermarket checkout queue yesterday. She told me that she was "Voting Labour for Emma Dent Coad." I told her that Emma Dent Coad was banned from standing for the Labour Party because of her antisemitic views and that the Labour bloke was Joe Powell.
I've read in The Standard that the same thing is happening in Islington North. People telling canvassers that they are voting Labour for Jeremy Corbyn. Corbynistas are not correcting people on the doorsteps over that whereas, Labour people have their work cut out explaining things.
Has Corbyn issued the writ against Farage yet? Farage apparently claimed that Corbyn had subscribed to an antisemitic conspiracy theory during a segment of the news on Farage's GB News programme.
The ballot paper always states what party a candidate is standing as . Mrs Dent's label will therefore probably be 'Independent ' - So there is little chance that anyone will actually vote for her by accident ( Hence my belief that she will not get more than 100 votes . ( especially as The Workers party is standing in the seat as well)
What you are saying is entirely logical, 10.08. BUT and it is a big BUT, some people have an association with a named candidate, for example Dent Coad and, a political party.
For some Dent Coad goes with Labour and voters do not necessarily read the ballot paper and the labels attached to candidates.
It must be a kick in the teeth to Emma Dent Coad that the Workers' Party are fielding a candidate in Kensington and Bayswater.
Galloway declared that the Workers' Party would not stand against Corbyn if he stands in Islington North as an Independent. He has not given Emma Dent Coad, the Kensington Marxist, the same dispensation that he has bestowed on Corbyn, presumably because she does not make the grade as a good socialist.
People scan their eye very quickly over a ballot paper until they find the candidate's name that they recognise. People do not read the ballot paper carefully, they skim read it.
Dent Coad's name will be near the top of the ballot paper whilst Powell's name will be near the bottom of it.
Like it or not, Emma Dent Coad, the turncoat, has a twenty year long association with being a Labour representative in Kensington. People who do not live and breathe politics do not know that she was banned from standing for Labour. Be in no doubt, there is a risk that people will vote for Emma Dent Coad by mistake.
Perhaps, Starmer can send in HQ workers to stand outside every polling station from 7am to 10pm wearing red rosettes making it clear that Joe Powell is the Labour man.
Emma is bitter. She doesn't accept responsibility for her racist and antisemitic conduct. She claims she was shafted because she is so left wing and not because she is racist. Lol
I am very surprised that Comrade Corbyn is issuing a writ against Farage. Trots and others on the Hard Left, Comrade Jeremy Corbyn included, don't like the Courts. They refer "to farting around the Tory Courts."
In their Socialist utopias, Workers' Militias adjudicate on matters of law and dole out savage punishments to those who are found guilty or in the wrong.
Didn't Corbyn issue a writ over antisemitism once before that never made it to trial and with him having to pay a large legal bill.
Careful note is being made of those members of the local Labour Party who are treacherously working for Mrs Dent ( either openly or covertly) and after the election is over - they will be dealt with. Can the Labour Group of Councillors get any smaller without disintegrating entirely? The number of multiple committee & spokesperson hats that some of them hold currently is becoming ludicrous .
Perhaps Cllrs Belton and Thaxter should just be dubbed " Lord and Lady Everything Else"
It is to be hoped that Dent Coad will be shafted. Even if she is not duly shafted on Polling Day, those snakes in her treacherous and Trotskyite grass must be dealt with.
Has anything been heard of the obsequious Cllr. Elnaghi recently ? Or is he just the sleepy ( but well remunerated) dormouse at the 'mad hatter's tea party' of the current Labour Group ? Come to think of it perhaps we should ask the editor of ThINK to illustrate the current group ( with their individual titles , responsibilities and total remuneration depicted below )
It's a bit late giving them their marching orders after the election. They should have been out long before that. Labour is good at prevarication and procrastination.
How can we trust Labour to act in Government swiftly and pragmatically if it cannot get rid of those who are doing the Party down for the benefit of Mrs. Dent Coad.
Kensington CLP is as bad as Sunak over the betting scandal. Kensington's CLP should suspend those snakes in the grass, who are working for Coad, pending the outcome of an investigation.
If you want my vote, you have to show you mean business now. No point voting Labour unless things are done efficiently. Never mind the mopping up after 4th July, suspend and shaft the culprits. NOW
It is arrogant to respond with "too many banal metaphors" in order to make light of the disquieting way in which the Labour Party has failed to deal with treachery in its ranks.
Cocking a snook is never the way to go. The Labour Party may well be shafted. The left wing vote is split four ways - Dent Coad, Lib Dems, Workers' Party and Labour.
Sounds like Felicity Buchan may be a shoo- in for re-election.
19.36. Sounds like Labour under Powell is as complacent as it was under Dent Coad. Starmer has tried so hard to banish complacency but it is alive and well in Ken and Bayswater.
I agree with you about complacency in Labour's local CLP. Be in no doubt that Corbyn will pull Dent Coad's strings if she gets in. She will allow her self to be used in return for Corbyn's acclamation.
We are now only seven days from nine candidates being seen off.
Emma's adulation of Corbyn knows no bounds. She reminds me of Rosie Barnes, former SDP MP for Greenwich in the 1980's, who ingratiated herself with David Owen. Did Emma think that she would gain votes because she was seen with Corbyn in the area around Grenfell eight years later? She must have done otherwise why do it?
The 'culprits' are not worth the energy expended or the publicity they would receive from an expulsion before July 4th. The true friends of Labour and the interests of the hard pressed residents of Kensington & Bayswater are all currently focussed on getting Joe Powell elected . There is plenty of time after the election to sort out those currently taking the Labour Councillors Whip under false or inadequate pretences. ( I still predict that Mrs Dent will do well to get 100 votes )

Most of them will be sore when the votes are counted.

DeleteDent Coad's name will be near the top of the ballot paper whilst Powell's name will be near the bottom of it.

ReplyDeleteEmma is bitter. She doesn't accept responsibility for her racist and antisemitic conduct. She claims she was shafted because she is so left wing and not because she is racist. Lol
DeleteI am very surprised that Comrade Corbyn is issuing a writ against Farage. Trots and others on the Hard Left, Comrade Jeremy Corbyn included, don't like the Courts. They refer "to farting around the Tory Courts."
ReplyDeleteIn their Socialist utopias, Workers' Militias adjudicate on matters of law and dole out savage punishments to those who are found guilty or in the wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe number of multiple committee & spokesperson hats that some of them hold currently is becoming ludicrous .
Perhaps Cllrs Belton and Thaxter should just be dubbed
" Lord and Lady Everything Else"
It is to be hoped that Dent Coad will be shafted. Even if she is not duly shafted on Polling Day, those snakes in her treacherous and Trotskyite grass must be dealt with.
DeleteHas anything been heard of the obsequious Cllr. Elnaghi recently ? Or is he just the sleepy ( but well remunerated) dormouse at the 'mad hatter's tea party' of the current Labour Group ?
DeleteCome to think of it perhaps we should ask the editor of ThINK to illustrate the current group ( with their individual titles , responsibilities and total remuneration depicted below )
It's a bit late giving them their marching orders after the election. They should have been out long before that. Labour is good at prevarication and procrastination.
DeleteHow can we trust Labour to act in Government swiftly and pragmatically if it cannot get rid of those who are doing the Party down for the benefit of Mrs. Dent Coad.
DeleteKensington CLP is as bad as Sunak over the betting scandal. Kensington's CLP should suspend those snakes in the grass, who are working for Coad, pending the outcome of an investigation.
DeleteI think that most loyal members are currently focussed on the main deal of getting Joe Powell elected .Plenty of time for 'mopping up' after July 4th.
ReplyDeleteIf you want my vote, you have to show you mean business now. No point voting Labour unless things are done efficiently. Never mind the mopping up after 4th July, suspend and shaft the culprits. NOW
DeleteLabour is kicking the can down the road on the issue of the snakes in the grass working for Dent Coad on the sly.
DeleteToo many banal metaphors 23.03
DeleteIt is arrogant to respond with "too many banal metaphors" in order to make light of the disquieting way in which the Labour Party has failed to deal with treachery in its ranks.
DeleteCocking a snook is never the way to go.
DeleteI agree with you about complacency in Labour's local CLP. Be in no doubt that Corbyn will pull Dent Coad's strings if she gets in. She will allow her self to be used in return for Corbyn's acclamation.
DeleteWe are now only seven days from nine candidates being seen off.
DeleteHeaven forbid that this should ever happen but....................................................................
DeleteWhere would Emma Dent Coad be politically if Jeremy Corbyn passed away?
What would she do?
How would she seek validation?
She would be a lost soul, looking to ingratiate herself with another far left politician.
That's no good for Kensington and Bayswater 17.18.
DeleteShe vacillates even now.
For the £91K salary plus pension and perks, Kensington can do better than vote in Emma DC.
DeleteThe 'culprits' are not worth the energy expended or the publicity they would receive from an expulsion before July 4th.
