Salman Rushdie says those marching for a 'Free Palestine' need to understand a Hamas-run Palestine would be as repressive as a Taliban Afghanistan.
- No freedom of speech
- No freedom for gay people
- Minimal education for women
- Extreme censorship
- Strict dress codes
- No democracy
All those liberated and chilled protesters may not find life in a Hamas-free Palestine to their liking.
The chief prosecutor of the world’s top war crimes court sought arrest warrants Monday for leaders of Israel and Hamas over actions taken during their seven-month war.
ReplyDeletesought is the operative word. This bloody war was started with great planning and brutal execution by Hamas
DeleteArrest warrants have to be "sought" in order to obtained them. Hope the warrants are issued, and executed in some civilised jurisdiction.
DeleteSalman Rushdie has also called for a "cessation" in fighting between Israel and Hamas https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/renowned-author-salman-rushdie-urges-to-end-war-between-israel-and-hamas-4500536
ReplyDeleteMaybe he has. But, answer the question. Do you want Hamas to run Palestine? If you don't how will you stop them. Don't waffle. Answer the question. And no waffle
DeleteLabour tears itself apart over Gaza. The Galloway Squad do for Labour what ReFUK do for the Tories.
ReplyDeleteHis comments make no sense. Prior to the atrocities of October 7th, Palestine was under the control of Hamas? When are people going to stop suggesting that those calling for a free Palestine must support a terror organisation?
ReplyDeleteDon't talk fucking bollocks, you terrorist supporter. Hamas ran Palestine before and after the "massacre of the innocents". You are a disgusting piece of muck on the sole of my shoe

Exactly Hamas are today's equivalent of blackshirts
DeleteHungary, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Cyprus, , Malta and Bulgaria already recognise a Palestinian state.
ReplyDeletewhich adopted the position 1988; and others including Sweden, Cyprus and Malta.
Ireland, Spain and Norway say they are doing so now to kick-start a political process. They argue there will be a sustained solution to the current crisis only if both sides can aim at some kind of political horizon.
You sound so f*****g naive. If you think Hamas will allow any 'political solution' that stops it armed terrorist thugs running the show? People like you need to pipe down
DeleteWhy would any organization such as Hamm Ass put the lives of their people in such danger with crass military tactics, that had seen the vast majority wiped out or left in insufferable agony . Do they really represent the people . I think not.
ReplyDeleteMost of the leadership is safely out of danger living the life of luxury elsewhere in the Middle East
