HOW MANY POLICE PEOPLE TO CHECK A BURGLAR ALARM

Dear Dame,

Today a burglar alarm sounded off in a house next to my office....a fairly mundane daily occurrence but what followed was astonishing.

Within a few minutes two police vehicles turned up and 5 police disembarked and wandered about aimlessly.

You can see the passerby was as astonished as I was.

We are constantly told the police have no time to investigate burglaries yet 5 police had time on their hands to waste in this way.

It is really is time that police forces were properly managed and made to walk the streets instead of aimlessly driving around in this purposeless way.

Thank you for the chance to vent my spleen at this blatant waste of resources.

Regards,

  2. The trial of the Metropolitan Police officer who admits the brutal killing of Sarah Everard should make us all ponder upon Met management. Wayne Cozens was known for his perversions yet the Met chain of command allowed him on the streets, armed, and with the psychopathic nature to kill in this brutal way. The police officers supervising this monster have much to answer for but the mantra, 'lessons will be learned' will doubtless be wheeled out.

  3. One assuems the nearest vehicle was asked to check it and if that was a van with officers then if its closer the van checks it , whilst we can complain about police surely using the closest vehicle is the best use of money and resources
