Cressida Dick spends much of her time saying sorry.

This time she is apologising for the brutal death of a young girl at the hands of one of her officers.

The buck stops with this hapless woman. 

Her command chain was so weak dimwitted senior officers allowed an evil man to roam the streets of London knowing he was mad and bad.

There was a period when he was even allowed to be fully armed with a Heckler & Koch carbine.

So how does Dick cling on? 

There is an untested theory that her senior position with the Common Purpose organistion allows her unprecedented protection. But a reader provides a LINK HERE which is the stuff of a TV thriller....it seems that this female Johnny English was a sort of spy!

Common Purpose has replaced the Freemasons who once infested government and the police.

The new governor of Holland Park Academy is Jane Farrell. 

Jane realised there was loads of dosh to be made persuading CEO's that their organisations needed her specialist skills which she lists as:

• inclusive leadership 
• unconscious bias 
• organisational change 
• cultural adaptability
• diversity consultancy 

Sorry, Jane, your sort of consultancy is a load of hogwash and the Council Trading Standards dept should be investigating you.

Whoever thought this woman was the 'right stuff' for a school in crisis needs their heads seen to....and don't even think of lawyering the old Dame for defamation....all her assets are in the Marshall Islands...

HOLLAND PARK ACADEMY: WHO PAYS? THE POOR BLOODY TAXPAYER?

Dear Dame,

So Colin Hall is going but what about his close associate, David Chappell, and other members of the so-called leadership team? As importantly, how and who appointed Jane Farrell, the new chair of the governors?

Many parents and staff feel Messrs Hall and  Chappell should be investigated for failing the pupils and the community.

Walking away 'Scot Free' should not be an option.

Likewise, Anne Marie Carrie should not be allowed to just ride off into the sunset.

Her failure is appalling especially given her past Barnardo's role.

Other Governors are not blameless. 

They too should be subject to questioning since they failed in their duties and responsibilities.

The  letter from the newly appointed chair of governors, Jane Farrell, paying tribute to Hall’s achievements is truly  BIZARRE

In financing the building, RBKC admitted to a cost of £80million but probably nearer £100 million.

However, since its opening RBKC has had no control over the school given its Academy status.

So this puts the Secretary of State for Education in the frame for its failure and Ofsted for allowing itself to be totally misled by Hall and his cronies.

Academies, including free schools, are directly accountable to the Secretary of State for Education: all other state-funded schools are accountable to local authorities but both are inspected by Ofsted

On top of all this, there are still outstanding building and lease issues to be resolved 

• The school has yet to agree to the formal lease for Academies and is operating under a so-called “Tenancy at Will” For any number of reasons this is totally unsatisfactory.

• As a consequence of the problem outlined above the resolution of the liabilities that attach to certain defects in the school’s building remain to be determined,  quantified, and indeed rectified. From the last Annual report, these are set out in some detail. They are not insignificant and relate to:-

A. Potential irreparable damage to the swimming pool  

B. Structural damage to the basement 

C. Glass breakages 

D. Stone facade panels prone to falling off.

Now that the school is an Academy ultimate responsibility for the proper management rests with the Head and HPA's Governors.

Failing to rectify these serious and outstanding issues will mean liability will fall to each Governor.... personally.

Just imagine the outcry if death or serious injury to a student resulted from a falling stone facade..... especially when the problem had been known for years unrectified.

No doubt HPA's lawyers Mishcon de Reya(who don't 'do'cheap) will be looking forward to huge fees for sorting out these various messes.

But who will pay these fees? 

Don't hold your breath.... it could well be, you, the poor bloody RBKC taxpayer footing the bill!

HOW MANY POLICE PEOPLE TO CHECK A BURGLAR ALARM

 

Dear Dame,

Today a burglar alarm sounded off in a house next to my office....a fairly mundane daily occurrence but what followed was astonishing.

Within a few minutes two police vehicles turned up and 5 police disembarked and wandered about aimlessly. 

You can see the passerby was as astonished as I was.

We are constantly told the police have no time to investigate burglaries yet 5 police had time on their hands to waste in this way.

It is really is time that police forces were properly managed and made to walk the streets instead of aimlessly driving around in this purposeless way.

Thank you for the chance to vent my spleen at this blatant waste of resources.

Thousands of residents were victimised by Thames Water's Third World sewage system.

In mid-July tons of sewage ruined homes and businesses yet not a word of apology from this partially owned Chinese/Middle Eastern company.

We have had far more intense rain in the past so what went wrong?

An expert suggested that there was an airlock which explained why the levels rapidly declined. Others say poorly maintained sewers.

So far, the Chairman, Ian Marchant, ex CEO of scandal-ridden SSE has hidden behind his underlings 

On Monday, it will be your moment to question Thames Water. The Dame doubts the chairman or CEO will dare show their faces.

The Overview & Scrutiny Committee organising this event need to ensure they don't filter out difficult questions. 

The Dame will be putting forward her questions and asked you to put them up too.

Basic utility companies like Thames Water should never have been privatised let alone fall into the hands of greedy Chinese and Middle Eastern despots. We are paying the price of ill-thought through short-termism.

 The Dame had been highly critical of  'Don' (?) Adams, the Channel Islands-based, polo-playing friend of Prince Charles for supporting the awful Delancey tower block overlooking Brompton Cemetary and being built in direct contradiction to planning policy. HERE

The question is has 'The Don' joined up with Bruno de F with the idea of guillotining our Famille Royale?

Anyway, it seems that the French Commie also supports this travesty for he writes obsequiously in defence of  Delancey supporting Adams who wittingly or unwittingly gave the impression he chaired some moribund Earls Court RA with no members apart from the Marquis.

JO MALONE CANDLES WILL NOT DISGUISE THE STENCH FROM HOLLAND PARK ACADEMY

All is not well at Colin Hall's Holland Park Academy fiefdom. According to leaks from pupils and staff, morale is plummeting and bullying rife.

The leaks are bad as those of Colin's mega-million £ swimming pool.

 

But all is very well for Colin and his co-manager, David Chappell. 

Between them, they rake in over £500,000 a year when you count in benefits.

Colin pulls in £280k a year whilst David is on £190k

The pauper head at nearby Kensington Aldridge seethes with envy as he inspects his mere £145k a year payslip.

Both have similar pupil numbers yet Holland Park Academy costs £80 million against Kensington Aldridge's £45 million.

Those with long memories will remember the memorable words of Cllr E Campbell claiming HPA cost nothing to build as it was funded by the sale of council land....in other words... your land and your money, Mr and Mrs Taxpayer.

But should heads ever be paid these extraordinary sums of money? 

Hall's salary has doubled over seven years accompanied by desultory A level results

Soon the 'not-for-profit sector will be more lucrative than the 'for profit' sector for greed driven people.

BETTER STREETS UNDER THE MICROSCOPE

Dear Dame,

I have some concerns over BetterStreets4KC.

The group is supporting, on Twatter,  London Car Free Day who are attempting to block Exhibition Road on weekends dedicating the shared road for pedestrians only; claiming safety of museum visitors though these roads have pedestrian crossings.   

An attempt would increase traffic and pollution in the surrounding area but have a ripple effect on the rest of the capital.  

When there are fewer drivers on the road due to COVID as well as Sadiq Khan's ULEZ tax why would this be essential?

The concern is that BetterStreets4KC tout themselves as representatives of Kensington & Chelsea residents garnering favourable outcomes for their wishes when this is not the true will of the tax paying residents.  

Their main intention is to reinstate High Street Kensington bike lane which is the benefit of a majority who either do not contribute to the borough or appear to live or work in it.

In July BetterStreets4KC raised over £10,000 after asking for donations for a judicial review of High Street Ken bike lane through Crowd Justice.  On the 27th July 2021 they wrote to say, "we have finalised our stretch target and have now closed the fundraiser having successfully raised sufficient funds to cover potential legal costs & associated fees (estimated £12,200)

As mentioned we will now draft a Q&A along with outlining how the funds will be used and will share these very soon.  Best wishes Better Street 4KC" no update has been made since"

We do not know who they are and if the money that has been raised is being used for the purpose advertised: there is no address or person to show whether they are who they say they are. 

There is only a gmail account as the sole point of contact.  They are supported by London Cycling Campaign a registered charity who only name their trustees:

Concern 1 here is transparency: who this group is and who benefits from it. Concern 2 is that London Cycling Campaign are using "betterstreets" as fronts what appear to be local organic groups which are actually centrally controlled by LCC pursuing their aims.  

Latest registered accounts £1,077,903 which £320,000 includes government contracts.

I find it odd that something like BetterStreets4KC can operate without stringent checks and balances and leaving no one accountable.
