A CATASTROPHIC FLOOD AND NO CHAIRMAN OR CHIEF EXECUTIVE TO FACE US

Well done, Felicity for so speedily organising this.
The Dame cannot pay the same compliment to Thames Water. The lives of thousands were affected by this flooding yet Thames Water produces just mid-managers to face residents. The chairman and Sarah Bentley should be facing residents not skulking behind their underlings. This flood will cost billions. Even now the Dame hears that an eminent lawyer is planning a class action and the insurers are looking at their options. It is outrageous that the chairman and the CEO have so disdainfully snubbed us residents.

This meeting is open to residents in Kensington who have been affected by the recent flooding. We will be receiving an update from senior leadership at Thames Water, followed by a Q&A.

EVENT PARTICIPANTS:

  • Felicity Buchan MP - Member of Parliament for Kensington
  • Representatives from Thames Water:
    • George Mayhew — Corporate Affairs Director
    • Matt Rimmer — Head of Waste Networks
    • Mike Denke — North London Local Government Lead
  • Cllr Elizabeth Campbell — Leader of Kensington & Chelsea Council
  • Cllr Johnny Thalassites — Kensington & Chelsea Council Lead Member for Environment
  • Patricia Cuervo Uría MRTPI —  Senior Flood and Water Management Officer, Spatial Planning, Planning and Place | Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea

RSVP and Submit Questions in advance (please also include your address): felicity.buchan.mp@parliament.uk

Details of how to attend the online meeting on Microsoft Teams will be released to those who RSVP.

I do hope you will be able to make it.

Best wishes,

Felicity

Felicity Buchan MP
Member of Parliament for Kensington

Marchant is good at bamboozling committees but is pissing himself at the thought of the anger of devastated residents

  3. Not one main board member of Thames Water has agreed to attend Felicity's meeting. It is an insult to all those in this Borough whose lives have been blighted by the incompetence of TW. We have had far heavier downpours without the consequential flooding. No doubt Thames Water are now hatching some scheme to divert blame away from them and to God: that won't wash. Every resident-affected or unaffected should be demanding the CEO be present,

  4. This is not the first time this has happened in RBKC. I worked in the Planning Department up until 2007, and some time before that (my memory is hazy - perhaps 2005) there was flash flooding of basements from the sewer down the line of the ex-Counters Creek, basically Holland Road (a somewhat different demographic from Portobello Road of course).

There was similar outrage. We sent out questionnaires to the whole area, and produced a map of the affected houses which clearly showed the extent of the problem which the Council presented to Thames Water. Thames Water, after doing their own investigation, promised long term a storm water relief sewer, and short term installed 300? non-return valves in basement sewer connections.

  5. QuickBooks accounting software is trusted by millions of businesses and entrepreneurs for their financial and accounting works. Despite being such a perfect software, it may also face certain errors and glitches. QuickBooks Error Code 392 is one such error which QuickBooks may encounter.

The Member of Parliament for Kensington has called a public meeting to discuss a possible issue of negligence by Thames Water. It is shows a lack of respect for British Democracy that the head of Thames Water has not personally responded to the MP and agreed to take part in her inquiry.

This bahaviour is rude, dismissive, arrogant and contemptuous. It reveals clearly the attitude of Thames Water to society.

  8. The UK performance is already very good, there are floods in many parts of the world in 2021, and many other government’s performances are poor.

  9. It has been great to know that there is someone out there that knows about falling down and getting back up. We always stay humble and never give up, and for the help of Mr Pedro in getting me Loan from his firm to expand my business, at a pivotal time. The support I received from his loan firm was quite honest and an interesting low rate in return, Mr Pedro Jerome is a loan officer working with a loan company which is willing to fund any type of business or give loans for personal use as long as their repayment is guaranteed.
