We are blessed to have three of the world's finest hospitals sitting in our midst so the Dame is surprised that when one...The Royal Brompton....is under threat from developers there is not one comment.
The Dame has just sampled the Royal Marsden and has been quite overwhelmed by its excellence.
The absence of comments seems to suggest a resignation to the fate of the Brompton and if the case it's a tragedy.
The Council, on a cross-party basis, is fighting the closure but it needs residents to come behind it.
Looking to the future, what might happen if developers cast their greedy eyes over the Royal Marsden?

If the appointed experts say that closing the hospital is the right thing to do then that is the right thing to do. If it turns out to be a mistake then we fire the experts and learn the lesson.

The only 'experts' who want to close the hospital are the bureaucrats who want to treat the site as a money tree. The real experts: those clinicians and medicine men know the closure to be a looming disaster. Your idea that if the closure is a failure we fire the experts is borderline lunacy.

What a great idea . Let's close down a hospital in the middle of a pandemic. This decision is property asset based not medical. This is nit the correct decision and we will see that the Royal Brompton remains in Chelsea . We will see Mr Bob Bell removed from his position and a proper CEO put.in place.

It isn't life! It's called bribing. Think about it, we had impressive number of people supported Odeon yet.... this is no different. Your comments does not count. Only those that kind bribe wins. People need to wake up! Now question is...how can we fish out those that have accepted offers? NONE therefore it will go on until such time.

DeleteYou know it makes sense to close a hospital in the middle of.... It's like people trying to lose weight due to Corona lockdown and the government introduces Eat Out to Help Out. Impossible! Then the mask situation, first they said it isn't effective but now they say it is (it isn't really, read report by 3M, the expert in mask making). Soon they will be asking you to do this and that which are simply ridiculous.
