WE ARE ALL IN IT TOGETHER
If K&C are going to follow the example of Westminster and ask residents to make 'voluntary' contributions LINK then they need to set an example by doing the following....
Reduce all councillors allowances by 10%
Reduce all senior officers salaries by 10%
This would not hurt the likes of the Pascal family who currently garner around £65,000 a year in allowances.
Sad to hear that the Pascall's are still sucking £65k every year from the public purse. Even though it helps with the school fees for these financially challenged Tories, it is poor value for money for the tax payers.
Does Pascal love publicity like Dizzy Lizzy as well? We are in the BBC News again. Clearly he's pro-cashless society where everyone's spending habit can be tracked. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-47391080
Its not indolence. He is a nice enough guy. Just rather simple. Not what modern Government needs. There are better people in the Royal Borough. Unfortunately they read the papers, take one look at dizzy, and turn to other things. It is a big problem.
Cllr Pascall plus wifelet are a bargain at £65k per year for the pair compared with Colin and friend Dave on £485k for the pair of them, or a cool £600k including 30% overheads for pensions etc. Every year, year after year, these puffers are creaming. It used to be that teaching was a vocation - a calling for a special type of person.
Rather than make voluntary contributions to the bottomless Hornton Street trough, how about sending money directly to where it's needed such as local charities? Or even, dare I whisper it, the K&C Foundation?
I first heard about it when it was suggested that people in the borough who didn't really need their winter fuel allowance could give it to someone who did, and this foundation would make sure it got channeled to the right place.
Here is the latest: Will Pascall, of Kensington and Chelsea Council said: "We have gangs stalking the streets and smashing their way into parking machines to suck the cash out"
Priceless. Not much different to sucking £65k out of Hornton Street every year. Less genteel though. Shame on the thieves!

DeleteOne would not mind quite so much if Pascal was of any use. Even colleagues laugh about his sheer uselessness and indolence.

The Pascalls are a fine family. The Hornets should stop bashing them.
DeleteCllr Pascall, stop blowing your own trumpet and stop troughing: it's disgusting that you and wifey are taking £65,000 a year
