THE DAME APOLOGISES TO MR MORRISON
KEEPING AN EYE ON THE DAME
The Dame suggested that our well respected tree specialist officer, Mr Morrison was also engaged in monitoring the Hornet output.
How wrong she was. Hanging her head in shame she takes it all back. Mr Morrison is entirely innocent of the allegation and the Dame apologises to Mr Morrison for suggesting he was so engaged.
Many officers must be asked to do work they know is not in the public interest. It must be very difficult to resist such instructions. Jobs are hard to come by.
There is change going on in society - witness the exposure and outrage that is being expressed about NHS cover ups, the isolation of greedy bankers and the emergence of whistle blowers. We are hopefully moving towards a society of more openness and more respect for each other. This will make it more and more difficult for organisations like Hornton Street to force Officers to undertake anti resident activities and to foster a culture of secretiveness and exploitation and personal gain. And of course this is something that the Union should be hot on. Some robust discussions with management are in order.
A collective dose of common sense is required in Hornton Street. The system has no business spending tax payers money to employ an Officer to spy on Resident Associations and Resident Pressure Groups.

Thank you, Dame, for correcting your mistakes and eating humble pie. In public. A lesson for us all. There is no shame in an honest mistake
ReplyDeleteThe Dame needs to be careful about her sources of information

ReplyDeleteThis needs the right lead from the top. Something that was beyond Merrick Cockell. The jury is out on Cllr Paget-Brown.

ReplyDeleteGet real, guys
I knew Cllr Paget-Brown before his recent elevation. Leopards and spots come to mind.
