WALTON ST SAVED FROM GIANT BASEMENT

Mr Graham of the Old Court House, Walton Street may well have withdrawn his application to mine deep down under his mansion to construct an extraordinary three level basement.
Had he been able to do so he would have tripled the size of the property possibly providing him with a £30 million uplift in value.
It could well be that one of the drivers for Mr Graham's decision to back off was down to the Council's clever idea of ensuring that he provided affordable housing. 
It seems unbelievable that Mr Graham's advisers, Bell Cornwell, did not see the potential of this stumbling block. 
So poor-well, not literally-Mr G has had to fork out unnecessary hundreds of thousands to his advisers when they should have foreseen the development would not pass the volume test....and we don't even consider their inability to sort out a satisfactory road management plan.

    The Dame has campaigned tirelessly to stop this pox including alerting the national press and the Evening Standard to the absurd idea of an old man from Canada. The Dame even appeared live on Canadian TV and radio to tell the locals what their "son" was up to and how unacceptable this was to the natives.

    It is a sad comment on our times that we need a Dame to fight the corner of residents while useless Brompton Ward Councillors, led by the veteran polo player "Boy" Marshall, do absolutely nothing. Cllr Quentin is only too eager to attend Harrods drinks parties and rub shoulders with the likes of Lady Gaga. But when it comes to doing what he was elected to do? Worse than useless on WALTON ST SAVED FROM GIANT BASEMENT

    Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to
    my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear
    and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it
    pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
