The RBKC Planning Committee will decide on 4th December whether to allow French advertising hoarding contractor, JD Decaux, to desecrate our beautiful streets with twenty five of these grubby monstrosities disguised as payphones!
COMING SOON TO A STREET NEAR YOU? |
The Dame gives credit where credit is due. Cllr Moylan knows JC Decaux well so she is certain that he will be using his persuasive powers to prevent them making a mockery of the Moylan Street Decluttering Initiative...an initiative supported by both the Kensington Society and the Chelsea Society.
If successful Decaux intends to rollout these scrolling horrors throughout the Borough. So please object by writing to either jonathan.bore@rbkc.gov.uk or derek.taylor@rbkc.gov.uk
We hope all our councillors will also be making their views felt....

Similar advertisement hordings were refused previously and the refusal upheld on appeal so why is the Planning Department recomending approval this time? Disgraceful.
ReplyDeleteWould those "our beautiful streets" include Exhibition road that the Hornet is always prattling on about?

ReplyDeleteBest not to comment when you are drunk and incomprehensible....Exhibition Rd has been expensively and extensively ruined. Oil stained granite and rubbish everywhere. What a mess! What was once an attractive road has been totally vulgarised...no surprise when you think of the vulgarians behind it!
It would be good if the Dame can report the victory - mainly due to hard work of the Kensington and the Chelsea Societies but also to the committee itself who unanimously opposed these outrages.
