When John Profumo was caught lying he vanished into obscurity working for the poor of the East End.

We will not see the liar, Hancock going off to do good works.

The great British Public is generally sensible and will never allow the scumbag Hancock and his floozy back into their lives again.

The Hon Mr Shapps advises us plebs that what Matt and his £1000 a day ex uni friend adviser did behind closed doors was not our business. 

From the image we can see that Matt's bum is a multi-tasking; in this case, keeping the door shut on his little dalliances.

Having Shapps advising us that it was all OK was like Satan advising His Holiness, The Pope on matters spiritual.

Really, it is time to get Sunak running the country. 

His first priority must be to put out to grass Shapps, Williamson, Raab, and the other deadbeats' Johnson has inflicted upon us.

Robert Black, the £140,000 a year former Chief Executive of the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) gave evidence to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry yesterday.

Robert Black admitted to keeping the TMO Board "in the dark" about fire safety issues. He failed to tell the TMO Board about:-

• problems with smoke detectors at Grenfell Tower,
• the Fire Brigade issuing a deficiency notice in relation to Grenfell Tower,
• problems with Fire doors in another block of flats where a fire broke out. 

More shockingly, the TMO commissioned a Safety Management Review in 2013 which "identified a lack of leadership at Executive Level" and that 1000 fire risk assessment actions were outstanding. Robert Black told the TMO Board that an action plan was being devised but did not advise his Board about the risks or the problems addressed in the Review. 

Councillors of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea knew that the TMO was a failing housing organisation. In 2008, they received a report from Maria Memoli, a Solicitor brought in by the Council to investigate the TMO. Memoli identified twenty-eight systemic failures at the TMO but the TMO continued to manage social housing badly for another eight years; culminating in 72 people losing their lives..

These same Councillors were happy to crow when the Labour Government in 2006 gave the Council an extra £12 million of funding (bringing the total funding up to £36 million) for the Decent Homes' Partnership on the basis of an inspection of the TMO carried out by the Housing Inspectorate in 2006. Just how the Government's Housing Inspectorate managed to judge the TMO a centre of excellence by awarding it a three star rating in 2006, when Memoli found so much wrong with it two years later, is a circle that cannot be squared.    

Councillors had a duty to ensure that the many issues that Maria Memoli identified were resolved. Robert Black paid lip service to the report by referring to the rebuilding of trust amongst the many who had lost confidence in the TMO. Instead, things went from bad to worse at the TMO and Councillors must have known that.  Councillors must now accept their share of responsibility for what came to pass at Grenfell Tower. The Tories were happy to abrogate housing management responsibility to the Tenant Management Board effectively washing their hands of the many problems brought to them by Council tenants. 

What I will never understand is why Labour Councillors supported the tenant management sham. Labour Councillors are supposed to be the Council tenants' friend - what a joke.

Greater Manchester Police's new chief constable has said he absolutely would not take the knee. This article in the Manchester Evening News will resonate with all of us. Watson is reverting to old style Divisions and expects senior officers to go out on patrols....leadership by example...at last.

Stephen Watson believes the level of 'woke' policing has passed

a 'high water mark' of tolerance from the public, who would rather see officers catch burglars.

He said the public is 'fed up' with 'virtue-signaling police officers' and believes that the impartiality of officers could be undermined by responses to campaign groups including actions such as taking the knee or wearing their pins, badges or rainbow shoelaces.

On whether he would take the knee in uniform, Mr Watson told a newspaper," I would take the knee for the Queen, God and Mrs Watson but no one else"

This email highlights the sheer fearlessness of London criminals.

The Dame does not believe there is a shortage of police: she does believe there is a dearth of skills amongst senior police management.

We need to return to the days when the Force was run with rigour by officers with a military background who understood man management. Too often we see police aimlessly driving around in vans and luxury 4 x 4's when they should be off their backsides and walking the streets of London.

Sorry about emailing you again this is on a different subject and didn't want to overload you on one email.

On Sunday night, 6th June, with many people walking about a man attempted to steal an Eardley Crescent resident's bike.  Dressed in black and armed with an angle grinder.   He carried on attempting to steal the bike even after residents shouted at him to stop, even banging on their windows.  He only stopped and packed up after more residents came out of their homes to intervene.  This was not the end of it as he came back a few minutes later to try and pull the bike off its chain and only stopped after police arrived with their lights on, they do not appear to have caught the would-be thief.

This is the third time within a year the road has been targeted by thieves with an angle grinder outside residents' homes and bike rack at the Warwick road end. 

One feels this is why foot patrols by the Met are important not so much to catch but to deter crime.  As well as to be part of the community and even gather intelligence of criminal goings on!

Does it matter this spiv is now Rt Hon Shapps able to tell us when and where we can holiday? 

Possibly not: his behaviour is probably considered par for the political course.

What does matter is this.

When honest, decent and capable politicians see this third rater in the Cabinet they could think- with justification, you have to be 'well dodgy' to succeed under the reign of Boris Johnson....

Somehow, the Buccleuch's have managed to persuade the Director of Planning, Amanda Reid, that foisting this monstrosity on London residents is acceptable.

Reid has deliberately ignored the wishes of tens of thousands of residents who pay her £160,000 a year salary plus platinum-plated pension. 

She should consider her position....her interests seem unaligned with residents who love their places of charm and beauty.

God knows what damage she has encouraged in her previous jobs....

A Scottish Ducal invader has been beaten off by the citizenry of South Ken with the support of councillors and Felicity Buchan. Felicity comes from the Highlands and has no time for Borders riff-raff.

The Duke of Buccleuch's Native Land has retreated back over the Borders taking their ghastly plans with them

Doubtless Native Land and the Duke will return with something slightly less vile in the hope we will all breathe a sigh of relief.

The Duke's family fortune was based on sheep rustling and other banditry so he needs to be watched like a hawk....a very predatory family.....and he will be back.....
