GLEEFUL WHITTY SAYS 'UNPACK YOUR BAGS'

                              Cold Fish

There's something of the mole about Mr Whitty: a man who exists in damp and dark places

Small human pleasures seem non-existent in his dreary life.

With a cursory "unpack your bags"  he wrecks the dreams of millions looking forward to a family Christmas.

What crass ineptitude! What lack of emotional intelligence and sensitivity.

It even seems he relishes his instruction.

Whitty is a man with an emotional bypass.

Our two MP's, Felicity Buchan and Greg Hands need to remind their boss his underling, Whitty, is doing great damage to the perception of this government.

  1. Sadly, Felicity Buchan simply would spin out the "do as Boris tells you" message she now continually spouts. This, after all, is an MP who defended the indefensible, Priti Patel, as: "I am very supportive of the Home Sec @pritipatel
. Since my election to Parliament, she has been very kind & supportive of me & Kensington. In the last year, she has visited the Harrow Club, the Police Station & met many residents. I do not recognise any of the alleged behaviour."

  4. The current state of COVID is appalling incompetence. The national picture is a mess on a bigger scale than the scandal around Hammersmith Bridge where three bureaucracies of Hammersmith Council, the GLA and Central Government are tossing each other off. Not a thought for the people. And now we have COVID. All the puffed up Whittys and Johnsons and Hancocks wringing their hands and constantly wailing into TV and radio interviews. And achieving nothing except spreading more misery.

The requirement is clear and compelling. We have a vaccine. Now we need a national project to vaccinate. With urgency, professionalism and efficiency. Starting with a Project Director and targets. 10 million vaccinations by Easter. And 40 million more by July. No more whinging and moaning. No more pedestrian NHS implementation. The whole national resource needs to be mobilised. NHS, private sector, armed forces, police, volunteers. It can be done. Just like Dunkirk was done.

    Dear Dame,

You are being less than fair to Chris Whitty.

It is not his fault that Dave and George’s austerity destroyed the UK’s public health system.

It is not his fault that Boris’s chumocracy contracted out testing to companies well known to be incapable of delivering the proverbial in a brewery.

It is not his fault that Boris’s chumocracy appointed Baroness Bungle to oversee the test and trace system. Any Talk Talk customer will tell you just what her organisational abilities are.

It is not his fault that Dave and George’s austerity slashed funding to local authorities for public health work, so that they had few staff left to provide local response to Covid outbreaks.

It is not his fault that Dave and George’s austerity sliced yet further the already underfunded NHS, so that it had less than half the beds/100,000 population of the German health service and cannot cope with a normal winter, let alone a Covid one.

It is thus unsurprising, in the absence of the required local action, that the new Covid strain rapidly grew out of control.

Chris Whitty’s advice was the only responsible advice to be given to minimise further loss of life.

The disastrous situation with Covid in England is a direct result of the policies pursued by Dave's and Boris’s governments.

Please attribute blame where blame is due, rather than using someone who has been in no way responsible for the policies which led to this lamentable situation as a scapegoat.

Print this, if it is not too politically unpalatable to the Dame’s delicate tummy.

  6. Nonsense....easy to blame austerity cuts. The fault lies with a useless NHS management who suck budgets which could be deployed on hospitals and clinicians and front line staff. Whitty is all over the place and is no leader. Sack him and the hand ringing Hancock

  7. What about Whitty advising that the old, sick and vulnerable isolate whilst those who feel safe get on with our lives and run the economy. His one size fits all is the death of our country

  8. Retired Chief Executive21 December 2020 at 07:39

Observer at 17.47 has hit the nail on the head. This is now a logistics exercise that requires leadership, expertise, urgency and authority.

The population is 65 million so we need 130 million vaccinations. Two jabs per person. That's a run rate of more than 20 million vaccinations a month to do the whole nation in six months. Which is what we should be aiming for.

GP surgeries will do 500k vaccinations this month. That's more than two years to do the job. WE NEED A DIFFERENT APPROACH. It's a Dunkirk moment.

At any one time, about 3% of the population is sick. This is what GP surgeries are scaled to cope with. And they work 9.00am to 4pm, four days a week and half days on Wednesday. This is a 24/7 challenge. And it needs to be scaled for 100% of the population. Not 3%.

We need a distribution system that is in the population centers and accustomed to serving the whole population everyday. Like supermarkets. Or churches (that eunuch infrastructure scaled for everyone but used by very few). Or schools.....

Every five years, the nation votes. The polling stations could be set up 24/7 for six months to administer vaccinations. Everyone is familiar with voting and know where to go.

We have a challenge. Imagination is required. The infrastructure can be improvised and brought into service immediately. At the start of the pandemic there were 750,000 healthcare volunteers who came forward from retirement. Giving an injection is not high tech. Pretty well anyone can be trained.....

The puffers need to fade away. The Leaders need to come forward.

    1. Retired Chief Executive is being economical with the truth. 500k vaccinations per month will take more than 20 years to vaccinate the whole population

    2. Rubbish. Children have no need and many will not want it.

  9. As of 18 December, 3150 reported what the agency terms "Health Impact Events" after getting vaccinated. The definition of the term is: "unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, required care from doctor, or health care professional" --> https://www.bitchute.com/video/SwnEMFnVIzAT/

  10. At United British Roofing & Restoration we specialise in moss removal. We use a soft wash roof cleaning method to avoid costly damage often associated with high pressure jet wash. As well as traditional domestic houses, we are also specialists in bungalow roof cleaning

The best time of year to remove moss depends on many factors.
