The Dame's PR lady tells her a picture speaks a thousand words so the Dame never flaunts herself.
However, these wonderful pictures of our beloved Chelsea speak for themselves.
You can read more about Adebanji HERE
They are the work of the Dame's great friend and Chelsea artist, Adebanji Alade.
Adebanji loves Chelsea and his work has been commissioned by many local residents and businesses. |
The exhibition runs until 10th September at Chelsea Framers, 341 King's Rd.
It is bank holiday and the Dame is scraping the barrel
ReplyDeleteNot at all...but sometimes we need to refresh our souls with things of beauty and that is the reason I have showcased a little of Adebanji's exceptional work. Please do try to see it 'in the flesh'. Adebanji just loves Chelsea and it shows in his wonderful, happy work.

ReplyDeleteWhat a SAD soul you must be. Devoid of any human appreciation of nicer things in life....
Sad? SAD?? Speak for yourself. This is supposed to be a political blog about the workings of RBKC. Not a promotion platform for friends and friends of friends.

Now, that is quite enough. Settle down everybody before the disciplinarian side of the Dame comes into play.
DeleteYes, the Hornet's Nest is primarily a 'political' site though the Dame's governess always told her it was vulgar to talk about politics.
In a way, the work of her friend, Adebanji, is political with a small 'p'.
His work makes us reflect upon the quaintness and beauty of Chelsea and how we need to work hard to protect it.

Surely Hornets Nest is about whatever the Dame wishes to blog about? If you don't like her selection of issues, go to some other blog. Don't waste our time with silly comments.
DeleteWell said Ma'am - Art transcends class and politics. 18:02 please check out some of the wonderful art galleries we have in our fine City, it may open you mind.
