How did this YOUNG LADY, who claimed and received more than £50,000 from taxpayers, manage to swindle us for so long?
After all, with £180,000, in 19 bank accounts, plus a luxury flat in King's Road, she was not exactly inconspicuous!

It should never have reached that stage.
The officer/s responsible for this debacle should be severely disciplined, or fired.
Come on Mr Holgate, instead of writing rude and aggressive letters to those paying your salary/funding your huge pension pot, kick some posteriors!
You can bet this is just the tip of the iceberg. If this person has got away with it for so long then it's safe to assume there are many others.
A neighbour at her block in Kings Road said: “It’s a shock. We barely saw her because of her jetset lifestyle. She was always partying and just gave the impression of being very successful.”
Incredible! Someone in housing benefit needs their asked kicked. What a joke!
ReplyDeleteSeeing all the national press coverage not one article makes the point that this woman should never, in the first place, been allowed to claim benefits.
ReplyDeleteThe Housing Benefits Dept was legged over in the first place and that is when they should have carried out due diligence,
Come on, Mr Holgate....the Dame is right. Why have you allowed this to happen on your watch?
I work my butt off to pay my national and Council Tax.
ReplyDeleteGood to see that my working 9 hours a day creates tax revenue that is wantonly squandered in this way. Which Cabinet member is responsible for the payment of Housing Benefit?
Either Lightfoot or Feilding-Mellen - but of course the staffing in the Fraud Unit has been cut.
ReplyDeleteI and my sette thought dining on the scraps from Belvedere was the height of luxury. Obviously mis-spent time. Although the buck stops with Mr Holgate, it is those in the Benefits Dept who should be disciplined.... Fat chance of that ever happening... Move on... it's only taxpayers' money... Wasting of which RBKC is very good at..
ReplyDeleteAmazed and Shocked! while majority of us work really hard to make ends meet, these scumbags looting taxpayers hard earned money and get away with it.
ReplyDeleteHolgate is very nasty to those of us who help to keep in employment but have the audacity to point out his shortcomings.
ReplyDeleteDefensive when he should be apologetic - I shouldn't think he gives a toss about Housing Benefit fraud so long as his salary and bonuses are paid. The Prime Minister gets less than Holgate.
