If you don't need your Winter Fuel Allowance....and many of us don't, why not donate it to a brilliant local charity called Full of Life.
If you feel like giving all, or part of an unneeded Fuel Allowance, or want to know a little more about how you could help do go to this LINK to find out how you can donate or get involved.
Here's a little about Full of Life the Dame has taken from their website.

Here's a little about Full of Life the Dame has taken from their website.
"Full of Life is a charity that supports and provides services to parent carers and their disabled children/adults. We give free practical independent advice to parent carers through our direct services.......
...this consists of parent forums, advocacy for children and adult services and a parent partnership service which deals with anything to do with special educational needs. Full of Life also runs a centre for young adults with complex needs, operating 6 days a week with a focus on communication and personal development, new experiences and learning new skills.
We were founded in 1994 by parents who were dissatisfied with the lack of information and support available for them to bring up their disabled children. This lead to the establishment of Full of Life, a single organization that helps with every aspect of their needs. Full of Life continues to grow and now supports over 500 families who live in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea."
This is a great idea and I hope everyone who can will do this. Full of Life is having its funding cut back by the Council because it represented people whose children were being so badly treated by the new SEN transport service.
ReplyDeleteDearest Dame, this proposal is what underlines your status as a 'real lady'. This is very classy behaviour and I hope your readers will take up your suggestion.
