We now find out that Merrick Cockell's protege, the newly appointed Artist in Residence, Julian Wild, lives neither in the Borough or pays
council tax: he actually lives in East Sussex! It's bad enough
wasting thousands on this pointless extravagance....even more
galling to find Julian Wild is not even a Borough resident! The Borough
must be teeming with struggling artists who live and pay tax here....so why have we
selected a non resident East Sussex County Council should be supporting.
questions about their practice. This month we speak with the sculptor Julian Wild...
Born: Birmingham
Lives: East Sussex
Profession: I'm a sculptor. I graduated from Kingston University in 1995
Career Ambition: World domination
Life ambition: To be happy
The Tories running K&C have obviously "lost it". Too many Councillors with too much money to spend and not enough to do. Another example of lunacy to join Exhibition Rd, the WEDGE, stainless steel telegraph poles, First Class travel to New York and dinner for friends at the Four Seasons by the Leader etc etc etc etc
ReplyDeleteThe whole lot of them need to be bundled out
Don't forget Chelsea Care and Opera Holland Park
DeleteHelloooooo
ReplyDeleteThere is recession, vital services being cut back, the poor suffering
Will someone tell Cllr Cockell please......
Why on earth is hard earned council tax being used to support an idiot whose ambition is "world domination" and who "wants to be happy". The Conservatives need to get a grip
ReplyDeleteMr Happy is laughing all the way to the bank, Mate
DeleteAnother product of Birmingham (along with the bus drivers son) polluting K&C
ReplyDeleteWhy do the tax payers of Kensington and Chelsea need an artist in residence?
ReplyDeleteKensington and Chelsea is THE place to live. Two Mayors, a Bentley and a Jaguar, Resident Artist, civic Opera, streets paved with pink Chinese granite, and a Prime Minister in residence. Plus of course a palace and sprogs "of the blood"
ReplyDeleteOnly top people can expect to be welcome in the Royal Borough
