RACIST TMO NEIGHBOURHOOD OFFICER?

The Dame has been hearing of a very disturbing story involving a TMO neighbourhood officer.
The complainant believes this officer has been supporting a tenant from her own ethnic background, against the complainant: a tenant of a Afro Caribbean descent.

It looks as if it could be a murky story and the Dame hopes that there is no racial prejudice involved.
FURIOUS DAME....

If there is, expect the Dame to come down heavily on the officer concerned like a ton of bricks.
And she will be naming names!

    COUNCILLORS

It is now time to call in a Special Investigator to look in the Dame's allegations of Racism. Doing nothing about Racism is NOT an option. The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea must NOT emulate the police who have historically dealt with Racism and Homophobia very badly.

    1. No facts, no names, just smears and ill informed comment

    2. If this is ill informed, please say why.

Do you work at the TMO or are you from the Council.

    3. This is Inspector Clouseau, of course!

    5. Oh, do shut up Matthew. Thank goodness I no longer have to sit in the Council chamber listening to your silly nonsense.

  2. I have read all of these blogs with growing alarm and disgust. What a squalid collection of tenants, moaners, Board Members, spongers, and general malcontents. The kind of crowd that used to be consigned to North Kensington. Could they be exported to Peterborough?

  3. This should come as little surprise. Indians have a reputation for racism racist. Their racism is not just directed against black people, who they tend to despise(listen to the remarks made by Dewani's brother during his brother's trial), but against those Indians perceived as being lower caste or of darker skin. I, too have heard of a TMO neighbourhood officer who is 'ultra protective' of a tenant of Indian ethnicity: it's well known. History in the Rotten Borough should be divided into BD and PD....before Dame and Post Dame. She has shone a light into dirty, dark corners. Give her a Mayor's Award for promoting democracy. Long Live Our Dame!

  4. The TMO is being encouraged to tighten up its procedures for dealing with race, age and disability hate crime on its estates, including taking action against its own officers where necessary.

  5. There are no recommendations in the Memoli report about racism or any other sort of harassment, discrimination or hate crime on the estates. How come that was missed? It has been rife for years.

    1. I presume 08.53 is an outraged person arriving for work at the TMO or the Council.

Maria Memoli left the Council in 2009. Much can happen in a period of five years; including insidious racist situations. I am sure that Doreen Lawrence would agree with me. Baroness Lawrence would be able to let you have a copy of the MacPherson Report which deals Institutional racism in detail and if you are from the TMO or the Council you need to consider every facet of racism.

    2. Bring in Doreen Lawrence to investigate. If there is one woman who know what racism is, it is her.

    3. Racism in housing is a very serious problem even more so if the Housing Officer is racist or the organisation is Institutionally Racist.

  6. This is dreadful.

How can anyone be confident if they have to report Racial or Homophobic Harassment on an estate to the TMO that the matter will be dealt with properly.

  7. Council tenants, now by definition vulnerable, were abandoned by the Council. If you have any confusion about why this may have occurred see 08.16. We're been entirely content to have children grow up in mold-riddled squallor so that we can moan about them when they turn into unhappy, disenfranchised teens. Will anything change? If the Dame has anything to do with it, perhaps. But it's much more likely that the Council will just sit our anger out and carry on as normal.

  8. This Council will sit the anger out and hope to ride out the storm. Black et al will carry on as normal.

  9. This is what the Nanny State produces. Ghastly residents, ghastly Administrations and a huge waste of money. What they all need urgently is a dose of market forces. High time for these miserable people to learn that children need not grow up in squalor. Tenants can go down to Home Base and buy a pot of paint and a paintbrush. And then open the tin. And then paint.......

    Useless persons

    1. This is not "what the nanny state produces". These are people who are less than happy with the company managing their homes. Such dissatisfaction is hardly a rare thing in the private sector either. The only difference in this case is that unlike the private sector it is clearly within the Council's power to do something about it, but chooses not to.
