LIONS LED BY DONKEYS

Dear Dame

I went to the service at St Mary Abbots today.

Despite the intense heat the splendid firemen and police were in their heavy uniforms.
Young Mr. Feilding Mellen decided to model the cool summer days look with open neck shirt and what we, in our younger days, would call 'sports slacks'.
I will be having a word with his mum to suggest
her son dress more appropriately for formal civic occasions commemorating the lost lives of residents: after all, if the firemen could take the trouble to dress in formal attire so could the deputy leader....very poor form, dear Dame,

Ever yours,

Lady M........y

  1. Please sign this petition calling for an inquest rather than a public inquiry into the Grenfell fire.

    2. Kier Stammer said on Marr's show that the Inquiry should start as soon as possible. The INQUEST can still follow.

    3. Thanks. We must carry on spreading the petition link. Not far to go.

  2. Boy Mellen is a disgrace, a joke, and an embarrassment to the Borough. His sole purpose at this touching ceremony was to stand out and attract attention to himself.

    Prat.

    1. It is unbelievable that Leader Paget-Brown appointed this twerp as Deputy and then continued to employ him as Deputy. Speaks volumes.

Has Paget-Brown been relieved of his duties? Who is in charge? Surely not Mellen?

  3. He has far more than an overly casual choice of dress to cause him to resign in the deepest shame. For years he's been at the heart of RBKC's policy of ridding itself of the poor and the costs of supporting them. He's repeatedly ensured those on low incomes lose their meagre assets, so his developer friends can profit. RBKC's social cleansing policy has reached its ultimate conclusion. The poor are dead. He's done nothing since except lisp his way through various self serving TV interviews. He must resign now.

  4. A list of empty homes in Kensington which could be used to temporary house Grenfell residents and also residents in the surrounding area.

Any passer by this morning, outside St Mary Abbots Church, would have noticed that the "Leaders" of the Royal Borough really do a "minutes silence" very well.

  6. Is this why the Town Hall was closed over the weekend?
    https://twitter.com/zebra_crispy/status/876729127688175616

RBKC website said that the Town Hall was closed due to the damage but people who were there said there was no damage.

  8. Has Dame heard about Cllr Ahern's tour of RBKC office today. His pep talks consisted of criticising the protesters, the media, Jeremy Corbyn, bemoaning the fact that the cladding in his words is on over 450 towers nationwide. Finally he made fire related puns and was bullish about inquiries into the fire and response positively welcoming it as they had done nothing wrong.

As well as this specific cllr there were others walking around in the tow hall who were more concerned with damage that had been done to the leader's office and and the wood panelled walls with their coats of arms.

I didn't think that this council could sink any lower than relinquishing it's own rest centre management to Ealing but safe to say the cllrs seem to still be confused about their roles, responsibilities and priorities

    1. Yes, you heard that right. Our hyper efficient and professional Tory Council has handed over management to a Labour run Council! Is there any better sign that they are in fact completely useless and are actually running the place into the ground?

    2. There may be cladding on 450 Buildings nationwide - but they didn't catch fire and kill 200 approx people. Has he no shame.

  10. The Dame reported that Cllr Paget-Brown, the hopeless Leader of Kensington and Chelsea, had been sent on Gardening Leave - but then the post was taken down.

Has the Dame been mis reporting or has she been "influenced" by her friends in the Tory Party?

    We should be told.

It is calamitous to think that even the Dame has her price. Does she too share the Hornton Street disease?

There is nothing sinister. The Dame, in her great wisdom, decided that discussing leadership at this time was not appropriate. The Dame is not some sort of high class madam or courtesan though she has had her moments with many a well bred suitor vying for her affections.

    4. Getting soft in your old age, dear. The reptiles in Hornton Street are dug in. Only press and Hornet pressure will dislodge them.

If the Dame loses her nerve, piggy and co will be around for the second coming.

    5. This is absolutely the right time to be discussing the Leadership of Kensington and Chelsea.

A criminal calamity happens, with great loss of life and suffering for local residents, caused by the Council, and not a single Council employee involved in the relief effort which has been taken over by the Red Cross and neighboring Boroughs.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU DAME???????
