TWO DAYS TO D DAY....AND BORIS BACKS BORWICK.
Latest from the Standard. You can read it HERE
Interesting that bitter and twisted Cllr Matthew Palmer is busily commenting everywhere as Tory Anorak.
Interesting line up. A traditionalist, a radical and a new age person going head to head. What will the electors of Kensington decide?
ReplyDeleteVery little. Whoever is selected by the PARTY will be elected come May. Electors are merely expected to tick the "right" box.
DeleteThat's an issue for another day. There are three strong candidates. Gone are the Duke's son in law, assorted sports stars and all those deluded councillors. The Dame and her thousands of supporters have had a significant effect on the shortlist.
ReplyDeleteThanks to the Dame and her legions of readers, this is a far better shortlist than might have been expected. Three good candidates to choose from, but only one known by a substantial proportion of local residents. In normal constituencies this might not matter that much, but we've suffered decades of celebrity MPs, each lacking interest in local people. Beyond that it's a done deal of course, but the shortlist is evidence that even Tory Central Office is wary of the Dame.
