A proper selection process seems to be slowly falling into place. Only in the Rotten Borough is the idea that the selection of a local, experienced, competent and popular candidate: is in some way revolutionary! Thanks in large part to the Dame's scrutiny, the powers that be at last seem to accept that residents' rights trump those of the Tory party.
