SIR SIMON MILTON TO REPLACE FAMOUS SAILOR

A LETTER FROM WESTMINSTER....

Dear Dame,

This is the complete list of Milton Memorabilia....

1. Statue by Philip Jackson at One Tower Bridge (2016)

2. Statue by Bruce Denny in Paddington Basin (2014)

3. Bust by Bruce Denny in the foyer of
Westminster City Hall

4. Sir Simon is also immortalised in the frieze of a building in Eagle Place, Piccadilly.
As well as a bust of the former council leader, the decoration includes an eclair and a slice of gateau to represent the Sharaton's Patisseries chain run by Milton's parents.

5. A water feature outside the Connaught Hotel is dedicated to SSM’s memory

6. The Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College next to Victoria Station (opened 2017)

7. The Sir Simon Milton Square in Victoria (named 2017)

The ghastly Paddington Basin was also the brainchild of Simon Milton...

New Site for Sir Simon?

Unveilings all provided wonderful photo opportunities for the vain Uncle Robert.

Hero-worshipping and genre reminiscent of a totalitarian regime.

We hear that Robert Davies is chewing over the idea of replacing the sailor on the top of the column in Trafalgar Square with 'you know who'......

Respectfully yours....

  1. I hope that Cllr Danny Boys Moylan had brushed his teeth when he engaged with a tongue attack on Cllr Robert Davies.
The thought of this deep kissing between the councillors just appals.

    1. oh, dear - obviously a 'typo' - surely you meant 'appeals'

    2. So graphic.

  2. The Evening Standard has a file on Robert Davies (as they do on Moylan). A few years ago it was touch and go if the Standard did a property expose.

  3. a new commission should be made for a 'group' monument to greed and indifference, to be erected somewhere prominent - Kensington Park for example. Dame should open a competition for submission of potential candidates, models.

    1. If neither WCC or RBKC leaps at the idea then perhaps one of the developers offering Public Art in their privately-owned Public Spaces would oblige?

Could be the centre piece in Newcombe House square?

    2. What was that? Is the Dame still in touch with Damian Hurst?

    3. ...pickled in Milton?

  4. What happened to the Churchill & Roosevelt statue which has disappeared from New Bond Street? No room on the bench for Sir Simon?

  5. Davies and Moylan snogging on the bench would be a fitting statue for LGBT 50 year anniversary. And where better than Bond Street? So up market

  6. How do you decide when a statue must fall?

  7. Has anyone realised that despite Robert Davies being moved sideways to a specially created job that his tentacles of control still extend through the new head of planning Daniel astaire who conveiently is a trustee of the sir Simon Milton foundation...one expect Grosvenor estates must be a big contributor !!!
