    What exactly are we paying for?

    It would be good to know what their responsibilities are, see their Job descriptions, contracted hours, and benefits

      No, it's the same. Campbell is collecting £66,500 a year.
      c £56,000 plus councillor allowance.

    Indeed, it is a ROYAL Borough and the Councillors seem to be behaving like the 'Royals', or perhaps like the 'Royals' from the TV soap? They have anointed themselves with a fake aura of invincibility, already addresses yesterday, with the two 'Cllrs'.

    Hornton Street has drifted like a self indulgent Club for second rate politicians with unlimited external funding. The culture and capability has degenerated to an extent that can no longer be tolerated.

    RBKC will go bankrupt and be taken over by Westminster once the insurance claims start coming in. These will be for £millions and £millions, which their hubris in being their own insurer (Cockell policy) will show to be an empty boast.

    Anon 13:22: Correct. All the insurance covers for Grenfell and environs are null and void vis-a-vis the insurance companies, as the first requirement is that the buildings are safe and comply with all regulations; which they did not. So claims will be made against RBKC. Time will come for all those allegedly clever solicitors and QCs on confidential retainers to show their mettle and lone this will cost RBKC a fortune. Let's ask Pooter.
