Yes, the Dame knows....frightening to think they overlord our security services!
In a self promoting Telegraph interview today Malc Rifkind, suggests the chairman of the ISC in the last Bond film was modelled on him!
He even asserted he would have been willing to take on a cameo role-(if, they could have afforded his fee!)

Some might say he relishes this sort of silly press coverage in order to garner even more non exec directorships: after all, he can probably regale his board colleagues with tales of cloak and dagger 'derring do'....
Get on with working for your constituents instead of fantasising about playing James Bond.
what a bunch of useless throwaways. No wonder, as the Dame says, we have a problem. Not one military man there
ReplyDeleteThis man has lost the plot as far as being a constituency MP is concerned. It is unforgivable that the Kensington Conservative Party continue to support an MP that does nothing for residents (all residents, including Labour, non voters, children etc) but instead uses the position to relentlessly feather his own nest. This drop of a hat broadcaster and highest paid non Exec in the Commons is so short of time for Kensington duties that he cannot even bother to hold surgeries. How long will it be before he cannot even find time turn up at Conservative Association Garden Parties to "say a few words". There have been quite a few cancellations (urgent business of course) in the last few years.....
ReplyDeleteOff with his head
DeleteI respect people's right to their own opinion but as TORY HATER, I have to admit I have over the course of four years been forced due to illness to contact Sir Malcolm due to unfair treatment in the borough and he has acted immediately for me. I cannot fault the man, he has always responded to my emails and other neighbours in my building have contacted him regarding demolition and other problems in the borough and he has always come through for them. I'm sorry to hear this

DeleteIt is a very serious lapse of Governance that this MP is allowed to continue in Office. His example, conduct and performance as a paid representative of the people is a disgrace.
ReplyDeleteMathew Carrington - pull your finger out Mate
ReplyDeleteAll constituents who have been personally assisted by Rifkind should email the Dame in confidence with details of of his long term efforts to help them. The Dame is particularly anxious to hear from residents who do not share Malc's political views.
ReplyDeleteDear Dame
ReplyDeleteI think James Blunt's lawyers will be after you if you keep this vile garbage up on your blog! Is this Palmer again?
Thank you. We know who 'Up Your's is. He is revenging himself after the Dame published his childlike emails
DeleteCan we get back to the urgent need to remove Rifkind please?
ReplyDeleteEven the late Alan Clark did a better constituency job than this self-serving waste of space. With all the Sir Malc's bombastic utterances on security, I even feel nervous for the nation. Let's move him along as soon as possible and I for one certainly endorse Alice's 'Off with his head"
ReplyDeleteMy own view of Sir Malc was formed when I read his published expenses claim which included cost of airfares from home to work. Why can't he get a tube or even a taxi from Hornton Street to Parliament Square like anyone else
