He will now be remembered as a vandal.
Tim Coleridge was the man who bravely stood alone against the plans to demolish Sloane Square.

But he will now be seen as the wrecker of this other wonderful Chelsea landmark.
Sol Campbell succintly sums it up.
The only beneficiary will be a bloated billionaire.....
Think again RBK&C....this is a mistake of major proportion.....
One Thousand people have now signed the petition protesting the destruction

appalling decision
ReplyDeleteplus the RBKC now want to redevelop low-rise low-density council housing into high-rise high density housing in Kensington and Chelsea, which already has the highest density of housing in the UK, just for their developer friends to sell to absentee foreign investors off-plan

Are we surprised, Kensington conservatives are a malicious bunch of thugs. Coleridge is the new Freeman, but more dangerous he flirts with popular ventures for his own ends. This council are wrecking historical Kensington.
ReplyDeleteFreeman has surfaced as a rather shallow individual. Maybe Cockell got it right after all.
DeleteColeridge is a sad case. A person of modest ability, conflicted by sibling success, he has found a platform in the Royal Borough to puff. Having got over the indignity of the last Leadership election when he could find no councillor to support his ambition to stand as Leader, the poor man has fallen back on the Putin tactic to present himself as "super man".
ReplyDeletePutin likes to display himself "topless" on horses, wrestling, skydiving, and other macho pursuits. Our Tim has adopted a topless pose on a horse in Patagonia for his Facebook photo. Middle aged men should try to avoid these things.
Our MP Victoria Borwick who was supposed to bring a new age of responsibility to Kensington has now been declared a triple dipper. Appeared in the Telegraph over the weekend.

She should decide to be an MP and drop the jobs or not at all and allow someone who cares about this borough beset by developers & asset strippers. It's just another Rifkind, how sad.
Will the Dame please have a word in the old dears ear.
The Dame is strangely quiet about Borwicks triple jobbing. For years the old dear terrorised Cllrs Cockell and Moylan for their greed at the expense of the taxpayer. Why is she silent about this little bit of grasping?
DeleteHow dare you bully the poor old Dame!
DeleteThere is a considerable difference in circumstances.
Pooter and his friend Danny Boys Moylan had, over a period of years, extracted vast allowances. It was a race between the two as to who could amass the larger amount. It was touch and go, but generally Danny Boys levelled out at around £145,000 a year.
The Dame's understanding is our MP is planning to drop her other roles.
It took Cllr Cockell 10 years to start troughing. She is at it after only six weeks. Fast worker.
DeleteNice try Dame. But there is a little word called principle. And another one called greed. What is it with you and Borwick?
DeleteHow times change. The Dame went after Cockell and Moylan for double dipping. Borwick is triple dipping. MP for Kensington. Ward councillor for Kensington and Chelsea. And representative for West London at the GLA. Three big jobs and three salaries. Wicked.
DeleteEric Pickles, Secretary of State for Local Government, has stated many times that double and triple jobbing is wrong. Is Victoria Borwick too grand to listen to him?
DeleteShe is standing down next year to avoid the cost of an unnecessary by-election. At that point she will be a full time MP.
ReplyDeleteRubbish. Democracy has a cost - and the benefits are immense. Scrubbers should not grasp at pathetic excuses to hang on to power and money. Shame on her.
DeleteShe needs the cash. Five children and a husband to support.
ReplyDeleteThey are all the same. Not an honourable man or woman to be seen. Politicians suck.
