Most of the time the old Dame's silliness does no harm: old friends just roll their eyes as some new gigolo appears on the scene.
LIB DEM LOVER |
But, Sir Vincent's silliness has caused the Lib Dem candidate, Miss Mullin, to throw a hissy fit.
The other day, Sir Vincent fell in love with the Labour candidate for Ealing, Miss Huq!
LOVE INTEREST? |
All this because dandyish Sir Vincent had a drive with Miss Huq! What on earth went on?
We old things can let passion rule our heads!
Anyway, what does this mean for Miss Mullin?
Well, clearly she doesn't stand a hope in hell of winning Kensington so Sir Vincent is telling us all to vote for Emma Dent Coad!
Well only up to a point. The Lib Dem vote in Kensington collapsed last time round because of tuition fees, but in the past they have come second to the Tories. Dent Coad's extreme Corbynite views and her membership of Momentum may count against her this time and make Mullen a more palatable vote for a moderate Remainer.
ReplyDeleteExtreme views include : £10 per hour minimum wage , investment in the NHS , triple locked pensions ,no parking fees at hospitals, saving the library from being knocked down .
DeleteFor the record I am not a member of Momentum. My views on issues mentioned here and others will be made clear very soon.
DeleteAnd thank you to those who made positive comments.
What a pro EDC is........
DeleteEDC you are or at one where said to be a member of Momentum. I can't imagine the source this came from revealing this had it not been true (now or in the past). Nonetheless, whilst I'm sick of this Tory government you would never get my vote in a million years.
DeleteYeah, yeah, yeah....Miss Mullen lives in Lambeth and is cling her vague hope on just one historic issues. Let's move on.
ReplyDeleteNow that Corbyn has come out in favour of Brexit, Miss Dent Coad must let us know where she stands on that now. The 69% of Kensington voters who wanted to Remain need to know.
ReplyDeleteCorbyn has come out in favour of Brexit as that is what the majority of the country voted for -now its his fault i suppose. Nothing to do with the Gerrymandering of Data as used by Cambridge Analytics, which UKIP spent half their election budget on, of which Victoria Borwicks' son is wrapped up in.
DeleteA vote for EDC would not be wasted.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly wouldn't be wasted . Can someone please clarify if Theresa May is a Brexiteer or a Remainer ?
DeleteFrom our luxurious sette in Holland Park and the eavesdropping at the Belvedere, it is clear that Lady B has no credible opposition...sadly.. as for the 69% who wanted to Remain, should wait a while until Mr M's strategy becomes clear - because until then NO ONE has a clue... in respect of Brexit the Belvedere diners will just either have to forget about truffles or pay for them through the nose, which they do anyway... Interesting days ahead, we think in the Park
ReplyDeleteMrs M does not have a Brexit strategy , that's quite clear . She had the job of conducting negotiations and she flunked it . She only called the election because 30 of her MPs are being investigated for Election Fraud. She only had a majority of 17, so with 30 of her MPs compromised, she cut and run . She wont debate live with Corbyn, she won't speak to voters except in stage managed surrounding's. The national debt has risen by £550 Billion .Why are people thinking of voting for Conservative incompetence ? Theresa May is a Liar .Vote EDC.
DeleteYea, its months since Brexit, and nobody knows what the strategy is - are we in or out, I thought the 'Glorious Leader ' said Brexit was Brexit , it patently isn't. Her hubby's probably got a few quid on a 'long '.
DeleteHow come we haven't heard anything on the telly about this Election Fraud and 30 MPs.

DeleteI suppose rather common badgers have settee's in their sette?
DeleteOh, dear - how common - us badgers have sofas in our posh Holland Park sette; not Settees...:-)
DeleteAs you badgers are so keen on fine dining and truffles maybe we could use you for truffle hunting. I am sure the Belvedere would be only be too pleased to see you paying back for all the stuff your family steal from the dustbins
DeleteCould someone please tell me why Cllr Dent Coad was leader of the Labour group on the council for one year and then a coup was organised by her fellow councillors and she lost the job - Who is at fault?
ReplyDeleteCan i ask you the same re David Cameron ?
DeleteToo volatile, bullying her colleagues and pathetic performances in the Council Chamber.
DeleteSounds like Mrs May .
DeleteEDC is a person of quality. The same cannot be said for many of her Labour colleagues. It is amazing that she managed to keep her cool at all in a pouch of so much mediocrity.
DeleteA loss to her party when she stepped down. Just look at the result! Piggy in clover........
I have known Dent Coad for around eight years. I have never known her go out to work in all that time. I hear that she is about get a Ph.d. It must have been nice for her to be on the Council, claim all the allowances and do a Ph.d on the side. I go out to work everyday at a supermarket for just over £ 8 an hour.
DeleteWhether to hold one's nose and vote Labour poses a dilEMMA: they came second last time, the more credible Lib-Dems a distant 3rd. What is clear, is my vote can no longer go to an MP that fervently supported Brexit to the detriment of the London economy and many of her constituents, including those fretful, hard-working EU friends and neighbours here that have had no say in their fate due to her party's crass and criuel decision to use them as pawns in their weak and wobbly power game.
ReplyDeleteI think you've answered your own question - Vote Labour -
DeleteDon't be daft. Do you really want to remain in an EU which in 2020 welcomes Albania? One of the poorest of countries, dominated by serious gangs and with 50% of the population Islamist.
DeleteYou are really stupid if you think we should be working hard to pay tax which will end up being sent to 'no hoper' countries like Albania.
Get a grip, man. The EU is a disaster.
Racist scare--mongering again. Back under your stone, please.
DeleteOh, do f off with your racist cr*p.
DeleteAlbanians are dangerous and not wanted in the UK
All the best to Emma Dent-Coat, a no non-sense, pro-active and efficient councillor.
ReplyDeleteShe needs to start earning her keep in the job she currently has a Councillor.
DeleteVictoria get your 'coat' your leaving.
ReplyDeleteVictoria Borwick is the one....a hard worker and an in-depth knowledge of her patch from many years as a councillor. EDC is hard left and would be severely damage the lives of many in Kensington and Chelsea who have worked hard to save. She is from the mad wing of the Labour Party who think everything can be achieved by taxing the hell out of people. As for Mullin....what she done in her life?
ReplyDeleteBorwick? Hard working? Pah! She works hard at getting her photograph taken; desperate to get into the tech world which her son is involved in but also helping out the antiques bunch with ivory.
DeleteEven received cash from Chelsea Arts club who are not even in the her borough.
She was plugging smart meters on her twitter which are infamously filled with faults. Sure she may have helped people out sometimes but very little detail on how she has helped residents in Kensington.
Kensington Odeon is one example where she could of got involved but didn't, same with Earls Court.
Another example is leaving shop keepers in the lurch with sky rocketing business rates; speaking to small business owners are said to be voting either Labour or Lib Dem due to Conservatives mishandling.
Borwick has to be careful as it is the council that will sink her. The only good thing she did was back Brexit that is a good reason to vote her in.
Mullin & Dent Coad need to focus on local issues that is where you win the hearts and minds of residents.
Are you quite right in the head 02:21?
DeleteCan Mrs Mullin please explain why she, as a magistrate, can be comfortable being politically supported with funds donated by a fraudster. She and her mob pretend to whiter than white but seem to have some dubious friends.
ReplyDeletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Brown_(fraudster)
Does Vince Cable know that when the Kensington Labour Party chose Emma Dent Coad as its election candidate it choose the best from poor quality local material?
ReplyDeleteTELL SID,
ReplyDeleteVOTE BORWICK X
NOT DENT COAD
No thanks .
DeleteCorbyn has two poor 'A' Levels at Grade E
ReplyDeleteCorbyn dropped out of a degree course at North London Polytechnic.
Vote Dent Coad, no, no, no.
Dent Coad is highly educated and will shortly gain her Ph.D
DeletePlease tell us which University is about to confer a Ph.D on Dent Coad.
DeleteI will make a mental note to make sure that my children never go to it
I went to a public meeting called by 'RAP23' this evening to discuss the air quality (or lack of it) due to Westway. Both Borwick and Dent-Coad were in the audience (but on opposite sides of the room) - you can tell it's election time!
