As a mum with a dud son, I follow with interest the problems you have with your young nephew, Ludo.
I know the poor lost soul is a real worry for you.
However, I have an idea.
LUDICROUS LUDO |
You are such a powerful force in the Royal Borough you could start your own political party.
You and dear Ludo would sure to win a couple of seats.
With that dealt with all you need is to talk to nice Mr. Carver at the Council and see if he will lay on a special 'third minority allowance' for you both.
As leader of the Party of One Linda was keen to get a chunky leader's allowance like the first minority party however, common sense ruled and she was told 'no way, Jose'.
So she had to make do with a total allowance of around £15k a year.
The Labour Party is able to claim a chief whip's allowance but when the idea of the renegade, Cllr Lomas, getting one for whipping Linda was mooted it was very firmly quashed....
Oh, if only the Lib Dem party had not been reduced from four to one....
With respectful regards
A harassed mum
What on earth is this all about? The Dame has slipped a peg or three.
ReplyDeleteLinda Wade is many things, but she is way past whipping. What a silly idea
Does the Dame have two nephews? Twins? This is not the Ludo who approached me for a reference.
DeleteLudo is no gentleman. Bottom button of his waistcoat done up. Shocking. The Dame and her family may not be what she likes to suggest.
DeleteI have no idea what that was about. Linda Wade is the hardest working Councillor in the area. It is a shame that she is LibDem but because of her dedication to her constituents I will certainly put my personal feelings towards the party aside and vote in favour of Linda and the MP candidate
DeleteI had not noticed that the Libs had shrunk from 4 Councillors to 1 Councillor. What a humiliation!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, they now have a very pretty cookie (Ms Annabel) trying to be our MP. What a hoot
The Odds for LibDems to win kensington slashed from 70/1 to 14/1.
DeleteDo the bookies know something we don't?
Yes no one is interested in backing them at 70-1 -bookies making no money .
DeleteMrs Mullin, the Lib Dem candidate, is a one trick pony.
ReplyDeleteLook, the Lib Dems always flop in K&C. They promise the earth; don't deliver and then get booted out. You just have to see their record on our Council. 4 down to 1 in short order. This is the result of trying to be all things to all men.
Ms Wade is finding it lonely and hopeless being "the one" in Hornton Street. She tried to get a Deputy Leader's allowance (£30k) just like the hopeless Labour crowd but was told to go away and come back when she joins a grown up Party.
ReplyDeleteJoin the Tories Linda and have fun and get satisfaction!
Loony Lomas quit Labour and set his eyes on the Conservatives. But got no joy there and ended up with the Libs who then bypassed him. Busted flush.
DeleteIn defence of Lomas, a one time protegee of Cllr ED-C, he could not stomach Corbyn so went to the Lib Dems. And that was after they had selected Ms Mullin as their candidate, so he was not seeking parliamentary preferment. He has been a parliamentary candidate in the post, for Labour, but that was under Brown.
DeleteObviously still an adolescent. Oldest teenager in the business........
Delete'Join the Tories and have fun - hahahahahahahhahhahahahhaahahaahaha.
DeleteLomas = Turncoat.
DeleteThese Lib Dems are turning into a rash. A very itchy and irritating rash.....
ReplyDeleteThe Lib Dems are now quietly confident that they are going to win in Kensington or at the very least push Labour into third place. Cllr Lomas is sad that he was not allowed to be their candidate after he defected from Labour.
ReplyDeleteThey will need more than Ms Annabel to win Kensington. The first person she needs to see off is EDC. Does the whipper snapper have the first clue about exactly how entrenched and respected this local Councillor is in the Borough?
DeleteWhen EDC takes the gloves off Ms Annabel will be smitherines.
DeleteLib Dem = Wasted Vote
DeleteMiss Annabel is not even a Kensington and Chelsea Resident
DeleteLib Dems haven't got any policies apart from getting 'stoned ' and 10k if you join the Army as an Engineer.
DeleteA sad time for equality. The Kensington election has degenerated into three women fighting it out. Not a single male candidate. Bonkers.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if you look at all the male candidates that have stood over the years - the men would greatly outstrip the women - just a bit of re balancing. I'm a man btw
DeleteYes and a Female Queen, PM , and the Leader of Scotland - shocking !
DeleteI had not noticed. In my day the gals (fillies) stayed at home to mind the family. Reference to Annabel is also perturbing. Annabels used to be my Club - difficult for me to relate to anything else. Not very Kensington.
ReplyDeleteVery Lambeth.
DeleteWhy did Cllr Lomas stand for Labour if he did not belong to Labour? Very strange. I remember disgraced ex Cllr Phelps saying that he only stood for the Tories because they were in power. He wrote that if Labour had been in power in the Royal Borough, he would have joined up there.
ReplyDeleteBirds of a feather?
Has anyone checked the Lomas email account?
DeleteActually he was a bit of a philanderer until he married.
DeleteThe Dame has had to delete the reference to Mr Phelps interest in boyish pics as it could be actionable. The Dame reported then Cllr Phelpsie for sending around suggestive and vile images of young boys
ReplyDeleteFair enough . We don't want le Dame getting dragged through the courts.
