Mr Holgate must now force Cllr Warrick to declare any past business interests that "should be on the Council's website".
It is outrageous that a 'lawyer' should have ignored these important rules.
Mr Holgate also needs to ask Cllr Warrick why he has not declared two other business interests...
Gastronomica and Gastronomica Pimlico.
"Cllr Warrick’s interest as a director of Shareholder Travel Ltd and Vincomida Ltd should be on the Council’s website...."

Well done Dame, but surely Mr Holgate did not write to Your Ladyship in such a graceless style?
ReplyDeleteThe Dame felt that Mr Holgate could have been a little more apologetic over the curious lapses of Cllr W....
DeleteCllr Warrick chairs the Audit and Transparency Committee - part of whose role is to investigate complaints against councillors who breach the Councillor's Code of Conduct, ho, ho!
ReplyDeleteWell that's definitely another feather in the Dame's boa. If an officer in RBKC had behaved in the way that Warrick has and for that matter adopted the manner he does to residents and officers they would be long gone. Surely we should expect even higher standards to be applied to members.
ReplyDeleteLet's see Holgate do the decent thing and bring about the end of Warrick's term. He must have the grounds by now.
Oh, and doesn't it just go to prove what I have said before that this blog is scrutinised in Hornton Street! Don't have any doubts about the paranoia that this powerful and objectively critical view of life in RBKC generates.
ReplyDeleteHe's still holding back Dame:

Re 7.38, apparently Cllr Warrick is responsible for RBKC Transparency policies. Under the circumstances, one can only reflect upon "The World Turned Upside Down!"

DeleteDear Mosquito
DeleteYour contributions are always highly valued by the Dame(currently sunning herself aboard her steam yacht.
I hope you won't take offence, but though T. Buxton was a bit wet and kowtowed to officers he was someone of integrity. The Dame has checked and he really didn't resign in disgrace, nor do anything incorrectly.
Dear Dame's PA,
DeleteI'm sorry to say that on this occasion you are misinformed. I do hope one of your confidants will put you straight on this matter. But I will leave it at that.
Dear Mosquito
DeleteThe Dame would like you to enlighten her using her special email address.
If anyone has been naughty you can be sure the Dame will be ready with her cane....
Terence Buxton noticed early that the electors of Earl's Court ward would re-elect Lib Dem Linda Wade and his seat might have been at risk. So he told his residents and the Earl's Court Tories that he was moving on to a safer ward. However, the Tory powers that be took exception to this unauthorised chicken run and told him his time was up on the Council. In the event, he should not have worried, as the Earl's Court voters did the sensible thing and disposed of the odious Cllr. Read.
DeleteDear Hermes, are you quite sure this is the same Paul Terence Phillip Warrick? That may be another PW.
ReplyDeleteHowever, he is definitely listed as a director of Gastronomica and Gastronomica Pimlico, which he has NOT listed.
I believe this is a matter for the Whip, not for Mr Holgate, to deal with (though Holgate has quite rightly ruled on it after taking legal advice). But Tim Ahern, while at times offensively rude, is about as useful as a wet paper bag, so I can hardly imagine him taking a firm line on this.
What a pathetic bunch.

I hardly ever come here Dame. Can't bear it. It's too horrible to be proven right so often. The business stuff is from PW's websites and his Linkedin profile.
DeleteElizabeth....if you cannot see that the P. Warrick you quote is not the same one as Cllr Warrick then you are clearly just silly
DeleteWhat a careless fellow our Cllr Warrick is - and a lawyer to boot. And he has been a Councillor since 1982 so should know better. This is the "Phelps disease" or the increasingly frequent cry in K&C of "I forgot".
ReplyDeleteThank you Mosquito for a masterly description of Cllr Ahern. Until now I felt quite isolated in finding him "at times offensively rude [and] about as useful as a wet paper bag." He was therefore the natural choice for conservative whip in this moribund conservative council.
ReplyDeleteTim Ahern has a couple of issues...
ReplyDelete1. He comes from an ordinary Dublin middle class family and, for some reason, has like Danny Boys Moylan, a hang up about being Oirish.
Hence, Danny Boy's odd plummy tones and Tim being sent by his socially ambitious parents to Ampleforth-a school normally used to educating English recusant families and sprogs of Continental Catholic aristocracy: thus he felt a bit 'fish out of water' and got bullied.
He then got hitched to ghastly and common Pippa Rose. PipPip's headhunting techniques involved getting to know clients really well.....
When Rose discarded poor old Tim he was left with little to do though he did manage to get a bit of money off the dreadful Rose. So feel pity for TimTim...he ain't a bad guy....just needing the recognition being on the council gives him....sad really!
Little big man!
Geez, City Slicker, sounds like half the Cabinet!
DeleteI don't feel sorry for ANYONE taking £45k a year to sit on their a**se and demand my pity. They should do some actual work for once.
The majority of conservative RBKC councillors are probably incapable of earning a living in the real world. Being councillor is a free ride for most of them.
ReplyDeleteThis is a scandalous attack on my close and personal friend Paul Warwick, whose integrity is only matched by his charm.
ReplyDeleteWell, if he is your friend(and I think you are pulling our legs) he won't be happy at having his name miss-spelt!
DeleteK&C Planning has been a rats nest ever since the time of disgraced ex Cllr Phelps. It is now time to probe the mysterious Cllr Mackover and his strange business interests. One day he has a four day growth, the next day a shave. People with an identity crisis should not be Chairing Planning Meetings
ReplyDeleteThe Councillor's "members interests" show that Sam is a Self Employed Consultant. Successful consultants need empathy, passion, openness, approachability and intelligence. None of these traits are evident from the Councillors conduct on the Planning Committee where he has shown himself to be lazy, intellectually challenged, rude, arrogant and remote. So where does his income come from? No visible means of support?? An open question.......
DeleteAnd then he lists membership of Chelsea College from 2011 to 2014. For those in the know, there is a story there too.
Cllr Mackover became a Councillor in 2011 (the Cockle intake) and the "little local difficulty" at Chelsea College was given the Nelson eye
DeleteCome on you two, just what happened at Chelsea College? We'll find out eventually so you might as well spill, here and now.
DeleteWhy is it that Planning attracts such a collection of shifty, bombastic and thoroughly unattractive Councillors? And when the Dame is moved to stir the pot she finds that the current Chairman has "forgotten" to declare certain business interests (declarations that are required by law) and one of the most obnoxious individuals on earth (disgraced ex Cllr Phelps) had multiple offshore bank accounts, numerous credit cards and BVI registered properties in the Royal Borough.
ReplyDeleteIs Cllr Mackover certain that he has declared what he is required to declare in the Members Interests?
ReplyDeleteCllr Lightfoot was at Oxford (of course) and does not recognise Chelsea College
ReplyDeleteOxford - University?
ReplyDeleteWhich college?
