Odd his autobiographical Wilki entry omits such important information.
But leaving investors high and dry has not stopped RBK&C dealing with him and his gang.
Sandelson and team have got their hands on the much loved Thamesbrook Home in Dovehouse Street. They plan to demolish it and replace this much-loved community asset with extraordinarily expensive and vulgar retirement homes for super- rich old bags like the awful Dame.
So, the hideous Stella Baillie, purportedly in charge of the welfare of the old, has struck yet another blow against the very people whose welfare she has responsibility for!
A home that could have continued to serve local people has been hijacked for the benefit of the ultra rich....most will have had no connection to the Royal Borough.
Indeed - the ghastly Stella in the spotlight again! No surprise, as she has been pandering to the Cabinet's wills since her arrival from Westminster, who was, as my nephew tells me, glad to see the back of her...
ReplyDeleteSelling it off to overseas investors who will then use the residency privilege to access services at the Brompton and Marsden. Stella Baillie should be ashamed of herself. She really stood up for the old folk under her care. Resign.
ReplyDeleteWell, I heard further from my nephew: apparently there are sighs from many that Westminster did not bring anything to the table regarding the Tri-Borough Partnership. It did: ghastly Stella Baillie - whose departure was perhaps the most satisfying event of the decade... so say the staff and the building - who all heaved under the sighs of 'good riddance.....
ReplyDeleteSandelson - I believe he was the one at Planning Committee who shocked the public by saying first that Dovehouse Green was 'unloved', then by saying 'certain people shouldn't be allowed to use it'.
ReplyDeleteContradictory, and very revealing.
Amd the fact it's a cemetery with second world war bomb victims remains'.
DeleteVote EDC for Kensington!
ReplyDeleteConncern is that Lady Borwick does not realise her 8,000 majority was down to extreme fear of Miliband become PM. Disgruntled residents might vote otherwise due to suspended bays for offshore owners' basements, rubbish not being picked up, reduced services, uncaring councillors and officers.
DeleteThere is a good chance for EDC or Mullin to get in.
So, are you suggesting that bonkers Corbyn or the ninny Tim Farron are a bigger threat than Milliband? If you are then you are not earthbound!
ReplyDeleteBorwick is a great constituency MP and her increased majority will prove it.
Mullin doesn't even live in the bloody constituency: she lives miles away.
If you read the comment carefully it reads that BECAUSE Milliband is not standing voters feel they do not have to vote Borwick, she'll have a lower majority.
DeleteWith EDC and Mullin who have campainged for residents on certain issues there is a good chance of votes going elsewhere.
Do you live in the borough? Do you see the chaos, roads in terrible state, residents' lives blighted by mega basements, no police presence and buildings being demolished for private gain, Kensington Heritage gone forever. These are under Lady B's tenure. Whilst claims coming that she does not have any influence on these issues.
As many have said before she is very fond of the camera, maybe she could do a cameo in Made in Chelsea.
Since the anouncement of the General election no word from her or KCF Conservatives on their plan of action.
Hope Lady B is not sitting on her laurels and is preparing the battle bus.
The frightening issue then with Miliband was the Mansion Tax, that EDC opposed. So it is OK to vote for her this time round.
ReplyDeleteYour logic is far from impeccable!!
DeleteMansion tax wasn't the issue it was everything else, the greasy Cameron was a more stable option than Miliband who is no statesman or any has any logic, a flip flopper easily swayed. Does everyone think anyone who lives in K&C are millionaires. I know the rest of the country does.
DeleteInteresting that Open Britain has included Victoria Borwick in its list of Brexiteers representing a pro-Remain constituency to be targeted for tactical voting. Maybe she should be worried after all. I am sure the Conservative Remoaners will unite around the Lib Dem candidate as EDC will be a step too far for most of them
ReplyDeleteYep, Soubry and Morgan have now left Open Britain for targeting Tory seats. Own goal. Campainging on Brexit is tiresome local issues should be the rally call.
DeleteIf any prospective MP mentions curbing the council and its' powers they would get everyone's vote.
Remain or Leave Brexit is a dead issue. Getting the right exit deal is the new imperative. Borwick is a top class constituency MP. 15.30 is right.
DeleteThe central issue at this election is which candidate is going to be best on local issues. I am sure Mrs Mullins is a good choice for the Lid Dems but how can you really understand local issues is your home is not within the constituency? In the old days such politicians were known as carpetbaggers!
Really clever thinking 15: 22! Rally around the Lib Dems whose ballroom dancing genius, Wince Cable, wanted to crucify us all with his daft Mansion Tax. Lib Dems come and go but are a busted flush. If you want to vote for a busted flush party vote Limp Dem
DeleteApparently Lady Borwick has got to re-apply and compete against two others (who they?. She is not a shoe-in. And Dent Coad is not a cert either.
ReplyDeleteIf Victoria is not re-selected then the local association will be making an error of magisterial proportion. Many of us would expect her to stand as an Independent.
DeleteCllr Wheale?
DeleteEnough said.........
