Danny "Boys' Moylan's siren calls to pension funds, to persuade them to invest in the now superfluous Olympic Park, might not provoke a stampede. The property investment funds he is non executive director of have had a hellish time. The British Real Estate Fund has gone belly up and as for the Glanmore Funds....well, the figures below graphically tell the story..... a 5 year return of minus 5.5%

Performance of the underlying Glanmore Property Fund

Total Return % *
Last 12 Months-16.65%
Last 2 Years-19.82%
Last 3 Years-66.48%
Last 4 Years-83.76%
Last 5 Years-83.00%
Since Launch-56.33%
Compound Annual Return-5.46%

You can read his Telegraph interview here Pontification

Danny said, "he would “love to see” investment from British pension funds."
As he well might....but they might be put off by his own rather sorry track the brokers say, 'Avoid"!

  1. You have to hand it to Moylan he lands on his feet. How much is he getting for this bit of work.....

  2. He is worth every penny - Moylan for leader

  3. Daniel you really should not write in with these self promoting comments. The chances of you ever becoming leader are abut as remote as the Dame marrying the 8th time.
There was an enormous sigh of relief when you buggered off....especially, staff like Mr Siddiqui whose life was made miserable by you. You are missed by no one here in Hornton St

  4. Will Cllr. Moylan now change his mind and urge the Council to invest its own pension funds in such deals? I doubt it, even if it would not be a conflict of interest to suggest it.

  5. Say what you like about Dano, he always had lots of ideas, most of them crazy, but ideas. Pooter has no ideas and no idea.

  6. Perhaps such consistent losses in property of all areas, suggests the possibility that serial misfortune had advantages: not immediately apparent beyond the business world.

Perhaps the Dame's many Business Leader readers can suggest advantages that might flow from such peculiar looking figures. The alternative is gross incompetence.

As for the appointment itself, Boris had to get rid of him somehow.

  7. We are always hearing about the profusion of ideas that flow from Moylan, yet no one seems to be able to come up any particular ones that have been implemented. The only one I can think of his getting rid of bits of street furniture in High St Ken-hardly revolutionary and the other one of allowing cyclists to go the wrong way down one way streets....very dangerous. Oh and I forgot...a very good one encouraging mothers to hold their children on the tube to save seats...mmmm...not sure what to think of that. The guyis an ideas free zone.

  8. Wonderful site you have here but I was curious about if you
knew of any message boards that cover the same topics talked about here?

I'd really like to be a part of group where I can get comments from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Kudos!
