CLLR PASCALL SAVES OUR PLANET....ONE NESPRESSO CAPSULE AT A TIME

The Dame's dear hope is that come May electors consign the lazy and useless Cllr Pascall to the dustbin of local history.

He and his wife take over £1100 a week in allowances: RBKC is a real little family business.
Even Conservative councillor colleagues roll their eyes in despair when reflecting on his ineptitude.
ON ANOTHER PLANET!

Anyway, his boss, Dizzy Lizzie, took him to one side telling him he needed to up his game and come up with a dynamic initiative.
" but I have one, Dizzy". I have launched a Nespresso capsule recyling scheme which will not only save the Royal Borough but the planet too"

It's all just too sad.....talk about fiddling while Rome burns....

  1. It is just appalling that this husband and wife team are pulling in £1100 per weak from the council tax. And doing it via a council that does not give a fig for residents. Council Hpouse insurance up by 85%. Long term car parking up by 100%. And this is only the start.

The incompetence that resulted in the Grenfell fire went on to buy £1 miillion flats to re house the displaced. Wait for next year's council tax demand..........

We will all need a stiff gin

    1. But 1 bet flat doesn't even cost £1M in K&C. At least you should be able to buy two with that sort of money.

  2. Pascall is ferociously ambitious. He wants to take over from Dizzie.

  3. Nespresso capsule recycling - that is surely a joke?

Nespresso have a recycling drop off in store option or bag collection recycling scheme set up for all of their customers.

Cllr Deputy Leader Pascall is pleasant enough but he is slow. Very slow. We should not expect too much from the intellectually challenged. Equally, everyone needs to be very clear that Cllr Deputy Leader Pascall is not Leader material and any ideas that he has to displace and replace dizzie need to be dispelled urgently

    1. 'but he is slow' - interesting... But very, very fast in raking in dosh from the taxpayers. But don't forget, it is highly unlikely that he is the ONLY one..

  5. @18:59 What would you say qualifies someone to be a leader of RBKC? seems like no leaders pasts or present are highly regarded.

Elizabeth Christmas was good for her first five years but then stayed too long and by year 11 had become her own worst enemy. Cllr Cockell made a good start but again overstayed (13 years) and became corrupted by power.

A good Leader needs to care passionately about all residents and be connected up with residents. He needs to be able to motivate Councillors and staff and needs empathy with people. He/she needs to have been around long enough to understand how local Government works.

All the negatives that we have seen too much of (puffing, troughing, expense abuse, preening, aloofness, stupidity, greed, brown envelopes) need to be eradicated.

And the chances of good leadership should be enhanced by replacing the Cabinet system with the tested, tried and successful Committee System.

    2. It may be good idea to limit the term of office for Leaders of the Council. Very much the same as the central government has chosen. That will prevent any of these people to become 'power drunk' and most sadly - corrupt.

  6. None....and that's because of the quality of councillors. Robert Freeman would have been the best possible leader but of course he was too honest and clever.
What an utter waste of talent.

    1. Cllr Freeman never had sufficient respect from other Councillors to enable him to function as Leader

    2. No, probably not. The other councillors were either too stupid or too dishonest to understand integrity. And, of course, those three beacons of integrity who conspired against Freeman were....Barry Phelps who liked corculating salacious pictures of young boys; Cllr Moylan whose adventures in S.Africa are the stuff of legend and Pooter Cockell, who figured constantly in the press for his outrageous expenses.
Would you want respect from such tyoes? Only if you were a dimwit like

  7. When Councillors put themselves forward for high office they expose themselves to scrutiny. At least five years ago the Hornets started to notice the Thatcher impersonating Cllr Campbell and her birdbrain economic analysis ("Holland Park School cost nothing"). She got bored with the Cabinet and resigned to go yacht racing for a year in America at Newport Rhode Island. But then the Leadership unexpectedly became vacant and she was on the first plane back to the UK to take the prize. The Hornet noted that she was immediately christened "dizzie lizzie" by her fellow Conservative Councillors.

The Hornet has been observing the underwhelming Cllr Pascall and his performance on the Planning Committee for many years. He is a charming chap but unfortunately very dim. He has great difficulty keeping up and needs to be lead. Not the stuff of high office. He also likes to drive around in his large motor with blacked out windows. The kind of wheels favoured by East End low life. This is a sure sign that once more, the Bentley is at risk for private trips to Heathrow and VIP lunches.

    1. Cllr Pascall is not a low life person. He has a son at Eton and the joint allowance for him and his Counselor wifelet (£57k per year) pays the school fees.

      Delete
    2. oh, come on.. Whether you are or are not 'low life' to have a son at Eton is irrelevant. You just need the money, which he has. It is also important to put the name down early.

      Delete
    3. Cllr Pascall also rents out two properties to pay for the other school fees. He struggles. Not quite there yet with his aspirations and capability. Hopes to realise his aspirations through the next generation. Not one of us.

  8. How is it possible that someone whose track record and credibility are lower than the living wage, could be allowed anywhere near the frame for Leadership, let alone be permitted by his peers to continue performing so abysmally in all his functions, while failing to engage adequately, if ever, with both colleagues and constituents? The answer to, and responsibility for, this has much to do with those who put him there and continue to refuse to accept that his street cred hit ground zero many, many, months ago. Cllr P (and there is another Cllr P of similarly dubious validity) is another of the horses who fouls the stables. It is time for a Mayday Augean solution.

  9. And EDC will have to resign her MP position, thanks to her pal Jeremy Corbyn, if she is re-elected in Golborne Ward. Unless Corbyn turns hypocrite and decides to save her. Labour has decided against double jobbing to stop Dan Jarvis. This rule will also net EDC, but she should approve as she objected to Lady Borwick's double and triple-jobbing.

  10. Me thinks that you lot will have a very hard time to unseat dear Will. He is, with Taylor-Smith and Warrick in a safe Tory Stanley ward - highly unlikely to be unseated, any of them.

    1. The Dame is wrong to have a go at poor Cllr Pascall for his effort to save the universe with his coffee recycling project. Will is a good man with good intentions. Its just that his imagination is rather limited. The Dame should encourage the poor boy to do better and not ridicule him. The Dame would be a terrible parent.

I am just getting rather tired of these continual complaints about my abilities and the dual allowances myself and wife and fellow councillor draw.
We both work very hard for residents and frankly it does not give me much time to answer often quite trivial resident's questions.
Yes, my boy is at Eton and why not.
The fact remains that I will hold my seat and the Council will remain Conservative.
It is time all of you who read this scurrilous blog get it into your heads.

May I, through the good offices of the Hornet's Nest support Cllr Pascall?
Yes, we both draw what poor people might describe as 'substantial allowances' but if you pay peanuts you tend to get monkeys.
In myself and Cllr Pascall you have men with wide and deep knowledge of business. As an aside, some of your readers seem to find amusement over the length of my hair. I have always understood it to be pretty poor form to make personal comments. I have no doubt that I and Cllr Pascall will significantly increase our majorities so the whiners in this blog will score no points.

The poor man has no character, conviction or capability to represent RBKC residents.
