SIGN THE PETITION TO SAVE SUTTON FROM VANDAL DEVELOPERS

The good question is why Sutton Estate has never been included in the Conservation Area.
The Dame suspects there were some dirty dealings to allow Affinity Sutton-now Clarion, to play the property developer.
Sutton is well loved by residents and its neighbours. Leave it alone!

SAVE SUTTON

SIGN HERE

We ask that RBKC Council extend the Chelsea Conservation Area to include Sutton Estate which is under imminent threat of demolition due to the Planning Appeal by Clarion Group (formerly Affinity Sutton) which begins on 9th May 2018. The preservation of the Sutton Estate is strongly supported by The Victorian Society due to its fine architecture, historic value and its contribution to the Chelsea Conservation Area.
Furthermore, RBKC has given no explanation whatsoever for why the Estate was not originally included in the Conservation Area, since all other buildings of that period are, and as a result remain protected from demolition.

  1. Signed! This is an absolute disgrace for RBKC, the Council should hang its head in shame over what is planned for Sutton Estate.

    1. Shame, dear? That is merely your wishful thinking... unlikely to happen, unless the 'Peasants' revolt.

  3. Surely it is going to appeal because RBKC's Planning Committee refused permission for the demolition?

    1. Clarion put the appeal in on the day of The Grenfell Fire .

  4. Yes the council did decline the preposterous redevelopment plan but the interesting question is Why was the whole estate not included in the conservation area in the first place ? Clearly RBKC was prepared some time ago to contemplate demolition of the majority of the estate. Robespierre

  5. I believe the planning application was turned down on the basis of social housing shortfall and not because of demolition.
