This is William Wragg, a deputy chairman of the all powerful 1922 Committee of Tory backbenchers.
William decided to give a Grindr friend the contact details of certain parliamentary colleagues. That friend then sent salacious images to those 'certain' MPs.
What were Wragg and friend hoping for?
Some wiser MPs saw the danger: the thicker ones got caught dripping in Wragg's honey.
Why would Wragg do this? He sounds an absolute shit. Now he plays the victim but the Dame suspects his motives were far murkier and devious.
True to form Rishi has decided to let him retain the whip: others think he needs a bloody good whipping.
Wragg sending X-rated photo(s)of himself to people on Grindr when asked - big so what! But having decided he was being blackmailed - he dobbed in other MPs to also be stung - not OK. Rischi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt have publically backed Wragg - not OK (unless you want to see the destruction of the Tory party).
ReplyDeleteI've never sent anyone a photo of my *****. I don't see why you would?
DeleteRidiculous behaviour. Keep it in your pants!
DeleteJeremy Hunt just told an interviewer the lesson to learn is to beef up your cyber security. I reckon the lesson to learn is don’t send photos of your ****.
ReplyDeleteTitanic Tories? Jeremy Hunt praises MP's apology over dating app incident.
ReplyDeleteAnd, Raynergate causing problems for Labour!
DeleteAn MP who gives colleagues’ numbers to blackmailers. The Tory Party should lose its Wragg.
ReplyDeleteFollow on from the Wragg story … Conservative MP Luke Evans says he reported cyber-flashing to police
DeleteSecurity is the number one priority of responsible politicians. Rishi Sunak is the leader of the Conservative party and the prime minister. The security of individual parliamentarians and parliament itself have been compromised. Rishi Sunak should have already let Mr Wragg go.
ReplyDeleteSext scandal is a clear political and national security threat. Action needed.
DeleteWilliam Wragg, the Tory MP, handed over phone numbers of politicians to a man (probably acting for the ********) he met on a gay dating app.
DeleteWhy hasn’t he already lost the whip? Delivering other potential victims to a blackmailer has to be a sacking offence for a legislator.
ReplyDeleteRishi is too weak.
DeleteKnowing Sunak’s luck the story involving the other MPs will be even more salacious and damaging for him.
DeleteWragg has put other legislators at risk and that should should have triggered his immediate resignation.
DeleteTory death wish behaviour: Jeremy Hunt described Wraggs apology as “courageous and fulsome”.
ReplyDeleteThese idiots sending dick pics are in charge of our country.
DeleteOnline seems to make lots of people do stupid things. Offline no accounting for calling it “courageous and fulsome”.
DeleteMy God - if a conspiracy theorist had told me there was a homosexual secret society in Parliament I wouldn’t have believed him.
ReplyDeleteTice told BBC Radio 4's Today program that the Conservatives had “a bunch of sexual weirdos”
DeleteMr Wragg, 36, who is gay, told The Times: “They had compromising things on me. They wouldn’t leave me alone. They would ask for people. I gave them some numbers, not all of them. I told him to stop. He’s manipulated me and now I’ve hurt other people.
ReplyDelete“I got chatting to a guy on an app and we exchanged pictures. We were meant to meet up for drinks, but then didn’t. Then he started asking for numbers of people.
“I was worried because he had stuff on me. He gave me a WhatsApp number, which doesn’t work now.”
William Wragg has quit as vice chairman of 1922 Committee over Westminster honeytrap. Rishi Sunack showing weakness not withdrawing the whip.
ReplyDeleteRishi Sunak is so weak Wragg sacked himself
DeleteFollowing Mr Wragg's decision, a senior Tory told Sky News: "Rishi is so weak Wragg decided he'd have to fire himself instead
DeleteWilliam Wragg has now resigned the Conservative party whip. Quite right. Pathetic he wasn’t sacked a couple of days ago.
DeleteMr Sunak was asked by a caller during a phone-in on LBC on Wednesday whether he had shown a “complete lack and failure of leadership” by allowing Mr Wragg to “sack himself”.
