NOTE: This has been a crude comment about the outstanding Ian Henderson. If the extremists on KLP cannot comment without the use of F***K they cannot expect their rants to be published: the Dame adheres to high standards in political debate and expects others to follow her example.
THis Is North Kensington
North Kensington residents campaigning for positive social change – in our community, nearby and beyond
How the Stalinist clique hate From the Hornets Nest and This is North Kensington.
The nasty, personal attacks on THINK come from those who claim nobody reads it yet they seem to be compulsive readers!
How they must be boiling with rage and fury at the return of Monica Press. THINK
We need to forgive them.
They know that their plot to take over Kensington Labour has been an abject failure: mind you, when you come across the dimwits now running KLP it's no great surprise.
The extreme Left has been consigned to the dustbin of history and they hate it.
Can you imagine this incompetent lot running/ruining our lives?
The Dame is ever modest.
THINK does something that separates it from FTHN....it campaigns intelligently and forensically.
When THINK comes under this sort of attack it must know it is being taken very seriously indeed.
LONG LIVE THIS IS NORTH KENSINGTON!
The Kensington Labour Party is no longer in the red now the extreme Reds have had the cash box removed.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know what has happened to all that missing money.
DeleteWhy were the police not called in to investigate all this missing money?
DeleteSomeone in Labour has got some explaining to do.
How can Rachel Reeves insist that Labour is fiscally prudent and the Party of sound finance when the Kensington CLP cannot look after the small amount of local funds in its cash box.
Rachel Reeves MP goes on at length about when she was a girl, she had to go through her mother's shopping receipts from Sainsbury's Lewisham and check that the till had not made an adding error. She has stated that she will do the same in Government. All of this is a little patronising because the Chancellor of the Exchequer is an economist and not an accountant doing a bit of number crunching. Economists define choices that an economy has to make. If Rachel Reeves wants to do some number crunching, she needs to get her bottom in to the Kensington CLP and go through their books and identify where the missing money went and tells us how much has disappeared or been pissed up the wall.
DeleteDavid Kear must miss the boozy piss ups he so enjoyed. The campaigning is now getting serious with Monica running things
ReplyDeleteThat £30K in EDC's coffers won't last long
DeleteEDC has raised £37, 575 in donations on Go Fund Me. She probably has been given money from less public sources too but we will not know about all of those donations until after the election.
DeleteHer 1,344 Go Fund Me donors haven't got the sense they were born with. Their money would have done more good being donated to a Gaza Aid Charity than to an egocentric woman.
The question is how much money is the Labour Party going to put up for the Kensington CLP to oppose EDC and her values.
Party canvassers need to briefed on EDC (and the many faces of her) and trained on what to say to people, on the doorstep, who might be interested in voting for her. All of that costs money and Labour will have to put is money where its mouth is and stump up for Joe Powell.
Flicka will need considerable resources for this campaign too but the Tories have plenty of money to splash out.
Kear got shorter and redder in the face as the campaign coffers filled up and then dwindled. Wonder where all that money went ?
DeleteDavid Kear never got over being dumped by zippo's circus as his clown act wasn't funny allegedly.
DeleteSo much time was wasted by EDC and friends feuding with London Regional
ReplyDeleteDear Gracious, Glorious Dame,
DeleteMonica Press is doing a marvellous job at KLP. I hope that she is able to bring Ian Henderson back in to the Labour fold soon. I hope Ian considers standing for the Council again at the next opportunity in a safe Labour ward.
Is Ian Henderson is one of these Councillors?
Deletehttps://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1635292/London-councillors-council-tax-failed-pay-not-named/amp
Here we go again with the nasty vicious lies and smear campaigns from Team EDC. They are getting desperate!
DeleteI think Team EDC has a Ph.D in nastiness.
DeleteSo you say 17.20 but Ian denies what you say about him. I have no reason to doubt him but unless you give your name, I do have reason to disbelieve you.
DeleteNo you don't and your comment shows that you are just a malocious loser.
DeleteIf anyone wishes to make claims and put their names to it, then i think you might find yourself in court. Of course they won't do that . Go on lets see what you are made of. I was there for Ian at the time and gave legal counsel.and still am ,Go on put your money where your mouth is.
DeleteHave the courage of your convictions, state your name so that Ian can have you about your malicious allegations. Touch of irony here. You call me a "malicious loser" but anonymous poison pen writers are by definition the malicious ones.
DeleteEDC reduced to moaning in the Morning Star
ReplyDeletehttps://morningstaronline.co.uk/article/it-worth-voting-labour
Emma is very cosy with the Marxist Commies on the Morning Star . Socialist Worker seem very sympathetic to her too.
ReplyDeleteShe has plenty of members of the Socialist Workers Party backing her. Only 1 of them lives in the constituency though
DeleteI don't know why she did not join the Socialist Workers' Party. According to a mouthy Trot on the platform at Latimer Road Stn they were disappointed that she did not join them when Labour banned her standing in the GE.
DeleteThe Trots in Socialist Worker do not believe in parliamentary democracy. They do not stand for parliament and, therefore, never get a £91,000 a year salary plus a gold plated pension with subsidised staff restaurants and bars and a gym. Emma wants the money which is why she never joined any of the Trot parties.
DeleteWhy do the Socialist Workers Party support EDC when the rumour is she sat on the TMO Committee that approved the flammable cladding that was put on Grenfell Tower. Is that true ?
DeleteSWP Trots are supposed to oppose racism in all of its forms. Dent Coad drew a picture of Black Tory bloke being hanged and the Trots conveniently overlook that about her character.
DeleteMany Trots are antisemitic, they always insist they are anti zionist, but Dent Coad is, without a shadow of a doubt, virulently antisemitic. She calculatingly decided to endorse an antisemitic trope on social media. A woman of her intelligence would have known that the trope she "liked" was disgracefully antisemitic. She compromised all of her self proclaimed "proud antiracist" credentials desperate to be "on message," and keep faith, with her idol Jeremy Corbyn MP
She left the TMO board over 2 years before any decisions about Grenfell cladding were made and had nothing to do with it. Check your facts next time you want to make false allegations.
DeleteThat is true, EDC was not on the TMO when decisions were made about the cladding on Grenfell Tower.
DeleteHOWEVER,
Was she on any Council committees which scrutinised, reviewed or considered those decisions about the cladding or the wider issues of Grenfell Tower refurbishment?
What, if any, was her part in the Council rubber stamping the cladding for Grenfell Tower?
What did she do about the complaints made by the Grenfell Action Group to any Committee on which she served?
Did she ignore the Grenfell Action Group like she ignored those who complained to her when she was on the TMO Board?
Why did she not join the very fine Labour Councillor, Judith Blakeman, in praising Francis O'Connor of the Grenfell Action Group when he died? He did more for Grenfell than EDC ever managed to do.
22.30. Don't know about false allegations? I think the most you can say is that 08.45 was only asking if you were on the TMO Committee which approved the flammable cladding. Nothing wrong with asking. If you don't ask, you don't find out.
DeleteYou seem very defensive of EDC. She is well able to defend herself except when she is bang to rights.
Sussed wants the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
DeleteEDC may not have told any lies so far but that is not the same thing as the truth.
Ian Henderson will forever be known and widely respected as the man who saved the Sutton estate. I'm really struggling to think of one single positive long-lasting thing difference *for others* that Coad has ever achieved.

The Sutton Estate is a poorly designed cesspit that needs to be knocked down and completely rebuilt. The refurbishment has been shocking and the flats are completely inadequate for the needs of modern day families. Thanks to Ian Henderson the borough was deprived of dozens of high quality, energy efficient, affordable new homes and people have been left to suffer and wallow in sub par housing while Clarion carry out a measly refurb. Families were offered a decent settlement worth thousands to decant from their homes while the Estate was to be rebuilt and were GUARANTEED a right to return once the regeneration was complete. Ian lost them that opportunity and most of the people living on the estate hate him for it. He’ll never be forgiven.
DeleteWhat a crass comment. The buildings are listed and CANNOT be knocked down
DeleteWhat a load of old rubbish. What settlement are you referreing to as I as a long term resident of the estate i can attest that the above comment is hogwash and the author clearly has a bended view of the situation. No guarantees of return were made. I have been waiting 15 years for that to happen..They refurbished the flat i am in and its really lovely . Looking out.my window on to the Monson designed structure is a joy . The truth is the new development was to be half privatised with a loss of social housing. I can't thank Ian enough for saving our homes and our 100 year old community and our beautiful building. I love my refubished flat.
DeleteThe properties on the Sutton Estate in Chelsea are small and some say by today's standards pokey. But people lived there for many, many, years, very happily.
DeleteThe residents on Sutton took considerable pride in their homes. I had business on the Estate in 2001. The estate forecourts were spotlessly clean and far cleaner than any TMO estate of that day. The communal hallways in to the various blocks were well lit, very clean, tastefully decorated to a high standard with a good quality floor covering underfoot. The Council/ TMO never managed that standard on any of its estates. I have come across the so called GUARANTEED rights to return after demolition and redevelopment of social housing estates that have not been honoured when the rebuilt estate has been completed. All these left wing redevelopment professionals never ask what people want and Labour politicians in K&C do not do so either but have now changed their tune after Grenfell.
08:00 I lived near the Sutton Estate and used to know a family who lived there when Clarion (then Affinity Sutton) presented plans to transform the estate into a modern, bright, much more spacious and visually appealing place. They were offered a package worth over £14,000 to decant and return once the regeneration had been completed. The right to return was guaranteed. This included storage costs fully paid, removals, etc. plus a choice in the decoration and specifications of their new home (which would have been almost twice the size of their current flat) and compensation for the disturbance. Their new home would have been a south facing property with private outdoor space which they desperately needed for their children.
DeleteHenderson and a few other people living there deprived that family and their neighbours of a new, more prosperous home for their young children to grow up in and thrive. They are now left in misery with a poorly refurbished flat, done on the cheap and with no consideration for their wishes throughout the consultation process which was hijacked by Ian and a small group of residents who ignored what their neighbours were telling them they wanted. Yes, there would have been private homes built on the estate to fund the social rented properties but there would have been no net loss of social housing overall.
22.45 A few points to clarify. The residents assocation carried out a resident survey and the majority of residents favoured the refurbishment as opposed to the demolition and part privatisation of the estate. Residents also had concerns around the carbon footprint of the demolition . The refurbishment meant the project is net zero. None of the South facing homes in the new development had south facing social housing properties.
DeleteThe refurbishment allowed 159 one and two bedroom flats to be converted into 82 ,Three and Four bedroom properties with balconies and lifts. The Sutton Estate was designed in such a way that there was always lots of space for amenity. All the children from other estates visited here as it was a safe environment for them to play in.
Residents who were decanted were given a statutory 5k which covered moving and decorations and also the moving costs and back again. All the newly refurbished properties will adhere to the London plan standard size of flats. Overwhelmingly residents understood that the demolition of the estate left them put ik the cold and the vast majority supported:https://www.savethesuttonestate.co.uk/news.html
For someone with a good command of english unfortunately you do not command an accurate appraisal of the truth. The whole case was won on the ruling ' There can be no loss of social housing floorspace on any estate redevelopment in England and Wales. Why would the Housing Minister at the time , James Brokenshire ( RiP) make such a ruling if there was to be no loss of social housing floorspace ?
DeleteThe Dame has seen evidence that totally refutes the defamatory claims made about Mr Henderson. On that basis, she will be publishing no comments on the issue. Were she to do so she could end up in court as a party to any defamation action made by Ian Henderson.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Dame.
DeleteSome recent comments about both the planning situation of the Chelsea Sutton Estate and the character of Ian Henderson himself are so off beam that it is difficult to know where to start :
ReplyDelete1/ The vast majority of the Sutton Estate was NOT listed before Ian's campaign began. All the rest of Chelsea was already safe with 'Conservation Area' status but the Council had colluded with 'social' landlord Genesis to neglect & then knock down the estate, built originally to house the poor of Chelsea. If you look at the plans submitted & recommended by officers, it was intended to build a nasty new development FOR SALE ( marketed to overseas Eurotrash with no links to the area). Genesis would then have been free to spent the millions it received from the development in modernising its Estates elsewhere in the country and rewarding its overpaid executives for sacrificing the working class community of Chelsea for their own gain. What few replacement 'social housing'units which were to be provided to give cover for the sell off of the historic Sutton Estate were all pokey and North facing ( so poor that that the could not have been sold on the open market). In saving the historic and architecturally significant Sutton Estate , Ian Henderson performed a huge public service for which future generations should thank him ( lt is a crying shame that the only recognition that Ian has received was a third rate BEM gong- when actually a knighthood would not have been more appropriate )
2/ As for the unfounded slurs about Ian's character that have now once again been stirred up by 'the forces of darkness' in North Kensington , they are from the same source that spread rumours that former Cllr Judith Blakeman was an alcoholic , former Cllr. Atkinson enjoyed cocaine during Council meetings and former Cllr. Healy was not only housebound but senile. There is not ,and never has been, an ounce of truth in those colourful allegations but they served to break up the effective Labour Group and local branches of North Kensington Labour Party that served the borough for decades.
Luckily, led by Joe Powell & Monica Press, Kensington Labour Party had been saved from itself. The 'Forces of Darkness' have been comprehensively defeated and, except for a few pathetic and ineffective Councillors who will cling to office til the next round of Councillor selections, been driven out of the Party and public life.
At the General Election both Kensington and Chelsea stand poised to elect sane , effective and conscientious Labour Members of Parliament who will at last give the whole of the Borough a political leadership worthy of our magnificent Royal Borough
Hear, hear, 11.54. Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteIan should have been knighted for his services to the tenant movement.
I also remember the vileness that came from the dark side of the ultra left, Corbynistic, clique in the Kensington Labour Party. The very same people who tried to denigrate Judith, Robert and Pat with slanderous lies were the same people who supported Emma Dent Coad in reporting Sam Gyimah to the police for supposedly lying.
Sam Gymiah did not lie and Emma Dent Coad sought to dramatise something which merited no drama. She ended up with egg on her face.
These hard left, Corbynite, hypocrites are the shit on shit's shoes.
Emma Dent Coad BEM in her case the Bullshit Every Minute Medal.
ReplyDeleteDo you remember all that rubbish about EDC being "royalty" Telling the Daily Express, she was "one of them" meaning "royalty"- pretentious and delusional.
